> 3 dayTook a while to get used to this machine, but after I got the basics down, it’s fairly cut and dry, but definitely learning new stuff every day.

> 3 dayIm a beginner but decided to get the X-Plus so I wouldnt need to upgrade to a bigger-better model once I got a bit more experience too quickly. I can say I cant see needing another 3D printer for the foreseeable future. I am still printing mostly with PLA but this unit included the high-temp head for Nylon and Carbon-Fibre, but thats a bit down the road for me yet. The printer was very easy to set up. Pay attention to the unpacking though because there are some binder clips on the printer head belts that need to be removed. I watched a YouTube unboxing and there were a couple additional clips on the side belts on my unit that were apparently not on the unit in the YouTube video. Set up and leveling were a lot more easy that I thought. The docs say just do the quick leveling but I recommend do the normal leveling that checks 4 different head positions and head clearances instead of just the center that the quick leveling does. I like the enclosed printing option which is for high temp like ABS and Nylon but I like closing it off when not in use, it keeps the dust down although for PLA you want a faster cool-down so the top and sides should be open. The docs say leave the door open but this too inconvenient for me so I just leave the top and sides off when printing PLA. The only real thing I can complain about is the spool holder is rather flimsy especially in contrast to the rest of excellent build quality of the unit. The only other issue I had is that the print head flat cable was a bit too tight when the head moved to the left front at the start of the printing sequence. I was afraid that this extra tension would bend and wear the cable over time so I loosened this up slightly. This is not inherent in the unit but rather the person performing the final assembly should have checked the max cable tension. This was relative easily rectified by me however. As a beginner I did damage the included print bed plate on the rough side due to my attempt to remove a thin layer of PLA with acetone. The replacements were not available on Amazon so I emailed QIDI support ([email protected]) which is printed on the side plates. I receive an answer quickly, she gave me a price, I paid with PayPal and they sent them DHL and I got them in a few days. Excellent service! Im still learning and making mistakes but I can highly recommend this printer and QIDI.

> 3 dayIve used four different 3D printers in this price range and another one thats above 3k. I have to say that this unit is by far the most satisfying machine considering how much it costs and what it can do. The tech support team has been super nice, responsive and helpful to solve my issues along my way. If you are researching for a 3D printer, this could be your last stop.

> 3 dayIf you are looking for a quality printer at a great price, buy a Qidi Tech! Whether youre a beginner at 3D printing or need a reliable unit for small parts production (as I am doing), the features and print quality are excellent. I purchased three Qidi Tech X-Plus machines over the course of a year for a consumer product manufacturing application that runs 24/7 and produces detailed small parts for my companys product. I have seven printers, including an Ultimaker S5, which I consider my gold standard for detail, and the Qidi-Tech produces, again, for my application, results that are close to it. The Qidi Tech X-Plus can print using high-temperature material such as ABS and nylon. I like the magnetically attachable double-sided build plate for different materials, which allows me to change lots and keep production going. The 0.4mm extruder assemblies are easily serviced, and its modular design makes it simple to switch out heads quickly as needed. The relatively large build volume allows me to produce sheets of parts. The Qidi Tech CURA-based slicer is feature-rich, and the LCD makes it easy to identify the print object of which I have over a hundred different designs. You can control the print settings while in-process, and it shows the status of the build with both time elapsed and remaining duration. You can also pause the print session to change filament spools and resume where you left off. There are good on-screen instructions for bed leveling, which is simple to learn and easy to master. Regarding support, e-mails are quickly answered with links included to applicable videos are also contained on their web site, and warranty issues are promptly addressed. Five stars to Linda who has been my customer service representative which is why I plan to purchase two more printers. Theres more, but I dont want to belabor the recommendation. If you are reading this review, you are likely a maker or looking to buy a gift for a maker, and I highly recommend a Qidi Tech printer. Finally, and for the record, I was not compensated by anyone to craft this review, and I purchased all my printers and accessories myself. Corey

> 3 dayI love everything about this printer. So much better then my creality. I really think this is worth the extra money. Switching up the filament is always hard but this isn’t so bad. And I have to constantly level but it’s way easier to do all the things with this printer. It’s absolutely my favorite purchase

> 3 dayI had a hictop prusa model printer before and was frustrated by things that I just assumed were normal - like making sure that the bed wing nuts were turned just right so that they didnt jam the bed. After melting the print assembly during an ABS print it never did print right again. Then I got this about 2 months ago - hundreds of hours of prints and the quality is excellent. Takes a bit to dial in a couple of items but overall am really satisfied with the consistent output and solid design. The metal frame and fact that the print head moves instead of the bed really help with drift. Size of the print is very good, heat up time solid and cool tweaks like the magnetic plate cover are SOOO cool for removing print jobs. Cons - custom version of Cura, door is hard to remove if you want to (kudos on the side removal though). Ethernet jack is in the front if you want to use it as a networked printer and power button takes some getting used to. Only other item is that a screw came loose under the print head one time and took me a bit to understand why a job didnt work out, other than that very reliable. Overall recommend, especially if you have had a build it yourself model like the hictop before and want something that takes away the constant tweaking or something that just plain puts out print after print after print.

> 3 dayMy x-plus arrived and I had it unboxed and printing in 15 minutes. I have been using 3d printers for over 4 years and I am very impressed with the quality of the prints and the build quality of the Qidi x-plus. Iy has been printing almost non-stop for the past month without missing a beat. I have used Pla, Petg, Abs. Tpu and PC. It has printed them all flawlessly except for Petg. Ill have to experiment with Petg and see if I can improve my prints. I have contacted Qidi tech support several times and their replies have been timely and helpful. It is not an open source printer so it will be difficult to modify. I am also not a not a big fan of the spook holder but there is a good option available on thingiverse.

> 3 dayI like how simple everything is with this printer. It is very easy to setup, to print, to export a file, etc. Additionally, the tech support is unmatched. They also reply within a couple hours and always know what the problem is.

02-06-2025I havent needed tech support so I didnt review that, I always heard that 3d printing can be frustrating because theres a lot of trial and error. I had to do the test print twice because I didnt feed the filament correctly but since then Ive had no issues or failed prints. I cant ask for more than that.
