I had so many consoles, Sega, Nintendo, Sony, xbox.. I just love Sega the most and wish they would make more great hardware

Works very good I had the old Genesis 6 button controller you hit mode button it takes you to the save, load, return to main menu, or return to game like the reset button does no need to be right by the system.

EXCELLENT controller!! My computer recognized it immediately and the buttons were automatically mapped to default configuration. Also was very easy to change the mapping!

D-pad is a little “squishier” than I’d like. But otherwise an excellent controller. I use it to play fighting games on my Raspberry Pi.

I bought this controller fof use with my Steam Mega Drive & Genesis Collection and works perfectly. The quality was good and the buttons are responsive. My first reason to bought a pair is for use with the next Sega Genesis Mini and play the fighting games that requires a six button controller. The international shipment was fast.

Great quality controller and officially licensed by Sega, This controller is a must if you own the Sega Mini, a bit smaller, 6 buttons and much nicer to use than the controllers that come with the Sega. Highly recommended these and very happy with my purchase.

This controller is the best Genesis controller for pc, and the mini, I have found. Holding an original Genesis controller and then this one you see how closely they have reproduced the original feel. I wanted the cable version as well, as that’s what the original had. It’s important to note that there are 2 modes you can switch between. One causes Steam to recognize the controller as a fully functional modern game pad (uses an Xbox template) However this mode does not use the “C” button by default. The other mode allows full remapping (enable generic gamepad and use that as controller type). On Steam, be sure to map the d pad as if it were a left analog stick which only uses an x and y axis instead of mapping the 4 directional buttons separately. Other than that, you can map the rest of the buttons however you want! I used remapping that sets it up as an original Genesis controller, utilizing the A, B and C buttons as they were on the console, but map however you want! All in all, I love it and have been having a blast!

This controller is perfect. It feels just like the original, the materials are of premium quality, the 10ft/3m cable is fantastic, I hate short cables. The D-pad works great, even better than what I expected. The only thing I didnt expect is that when using it on PC it always resets to the default state (D-input) each time you connect it, but its just a matter of pressing start 5 seconds and it goes to X-input, nothing really bad.

I recently purchased a Portable Mini Arcade with built-in joystick and buttons. It had thousands of arcade and retro games included. While it was great to play the arcade titles with the joystick, it didnt translate well with the retro games for NES, SNES, Genesis, etc. but, the device had a USB port for Gamepads. I purchased this retrobit Sega genesis 8 button Arcade pad with USB and I was good to go. It plugged right in with no required mapping and I was playing the retro games right away! I was familiar with the feel and the layout of the Arcade Pad because I had the original Sega genesis when I was younger so it made using it all the more fun. I hope this helps anyone with their decision on this product because I had to do a bit of research myself to find the right Game pad for my Mini Arcade and this was it.

This is an excellent controller. I am currently using it on RetroPie. I have experienced zero problems with the recommended button configuration, which can easily be found online. The controller has an authentic feel and it allows me to play all my favorite Genesis games the way I did as a kid in the early 1990s. Games from the 2nd-4th console generations are so much better than what is made today!!
