> 3 dayI bought two of these intended to be gifts, one red one black. The red one arrived fine in a sealed box as advertised. The black one arrived a day later and the box was opened and resealed poorly with tape. I wont know if anything is wrong compared to the sealed box because they are gifts but its visibly bent where it was opened without proper care. Why was one opened at all? If it was a more expensive item Id demand a replacement but its not worth the effort, disappointing.

> 3 dayI always loved the Sega 6 button controllers on the Genesis and the Saturn, and this thing is spot on and perfect for what I use it for (mainly fighting games). I only wish there was some way of using it on the Switch as well as my PC. (probably some sort of adapter or the like, I just need to look into what is available.) At any rate, as someone who used the originals back in the day, this feels and operates exactly as I expected. Update: Seems these now work with Nintendo Switch. I wish it was more clear that this would be added, or that there was some way to update the one I already have to be compatible. I never saw any mention, outside of the soon to be available bluetooth revisions, that Switch compatibility would be added.

Greater than one weekI have been retro gaming since the late 90s via emulators on the PC. Aside from a few USB converters, which are still very expensive, there we limited options to use the OEM gamepads. OEM gamepads for the system just adds more immersion, in my opinion. Its great to see that there are so many more options for hardware (not just the gamepads) as classic gaming seems to have gone from an obscure community of enthusiasts - programmers and gamers alike - to something everyone can enjoy. I have tried this gamepad with all the popular ways to retro-game without any problems with congiguration. It works flawlessly with my Raspberry Pi 3 B+ running Retroarch with the libretro cores. The contruction and feel of the gamepad is very good, indistinguishable from the original. Great buy for any enthusiast.

> 3 daySo, the product is absolutely great. Feels just like I remember the Genesis controllers of old feeling, and it works great with my MiSTer setup for plating retro games, so Im really happy with the product. What Im not happy with is the delivery being a day late, which is becoming a fairly frequent problem with Amazon. Its frustrating that they dont dispatch the order as soon as you place it, but whats annoying is they give you a delivery date (for me it was Wednesday), yet they only dispatched the item on Wednesday morning. Its not clear how they expect USPS to do same day delivery when they only put the product into the Post Office at 5 in the morning, the day the thing is supposed to be delivered.

Greater than one weekI recently purchased a Portable Mini Arcade with built-in joystick and buttons. It had thousands of arcade and retro games included. While it was great to play the arcade titles with the joystick, it didnt translate well with the retro games for NES, SNES, Genesis, etc. but, the device had a USB port for Gamepads. I purchased this retrobit Sega genesis 8 button Arcade pad with USB and I was good to go. It plugged right in with no required mapping and I was playing the retro games right away! I was familiar with the feel and the layout of the Arcade Pad because I had the original Sega genesis when I was younger so it made using it all the more fun. I hope this helps anyone with their decision on this product because I had to do a bit of research myself to find the right Game pad for my Mini Arcade and this was it.

> 3 dayIve tried several of these retro-type PC game pads over the years. Its been fairly hit or miss when it comes to quality but it seems recently theres been an increase in the variety that has come out. Nowadays we even have a bunch of console specific ones rather than just generic PC gamepads. Most look good in the pictures but end up being cheap knock offs with shoddy controls and poor response when you actually play them. One of the better ones I tried was the iBuffalo SNES style pads but while those are very close, I now prefer this Genesis pad over that as my go to retro controller. While this does have the layout and feel of a Sega Genesis pad, with the additional l/r shoulder buttons it makes it versatile for pretty much anything sans analog sticks (which is what youd expect). You also have the option to play fighting games with a true 6 button face layout which is something you cant do with most other pads. The buttons are a bit floaty which can be a preference. This is actually accurate to the real thing though. The d-pad is a bit on the floaty side as well. Subjectively I feel this might be a bit more than the original (more than the stock 3 button pad for sure) was but in any case its looser than most pads (except maybe Logitech) but when it comes to actual play it doesnt hinder anything at all. Just use less mash and more roll. The d-pad is usually the weak link between a good and bad pad and I still think its one of the better ones. All in all, this is a pretty solid pad and Id recommend it especially if you like the layout of a Sega Genesis pad. I dont know if its a 1:1 replica of the original but its a decent pad regardless.

Greater than one weekThis controller feels just like my original Genesis controllers, but better due to added shoulder buttons and the mode button moved to the center. The d-pad is incredibly responsive, and all the buttons have a nice solid feel to them. Im very impressed and very happy after having gone through several inferior Genesis knock off designs. So glad an officially licensed Sega branded version is now available!
