Greater than one weekSolid piece that looks and feels just like the original Genesis 6 button gamepad. You cant beat the precision and responsiveness of this controller when it comes to playing retro 16 bit Sega games.

Greater than one weekFor those of us who remember the Sega Genesis, the release of the six-button controller was a literal game-changer. The old three-button controller wasnt designed for advances in fighting games (e.g. Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Eternal Champion), and this controller came to the rescue. I am happy to report that this is a spot-on recreation of the original controller. The feel, the weight, and the balance are almost exactly as they were nearly 25 years ago. Years later this controller is still impressive, and the USB interface means that you can use it to play new PC-based retro-style games like Bloodstained. Furthermore, unless something changes between now and September, we should be able to use this controller with the upcoming Sega Genesis Mini. The Mini features games that benefit from the six-button controller, but it ships with two three-button controllers instead (the Japanese version of the Mini ships with two six-button controllers--go figure). This controller can help bridge the gap. On one hand, I like the idea of playing older Genesis games with an authentic, launch-issued three-button controller, but it is good to know that I have the option of a six-button if I want it! If you pre-ordered a US Genesis Mini, or if you plan to get one at a later date, this controller is a must.

> 3 dayIf you have a Sega Genesis mini, get this controller. The reason why is because when compared to the ones the system, the cord is way longer, the X, Y, and Z buttons are there, plus the mode buttons acts as replacement for the reset button, so you dont have to walk to the console to do so.

> 3 dayIve tried a lot of so-called Sega USB gamepads, and none of them match the quality of this product. It is exactly what you have been missing, you will remember immediately the feel of a real Sega Genesis game pad. The size is right, the cable is super long with a very thick gauge that wont likely fall apart, even the weight is right, they did everything correctly with this product, and the price is reasonable. Make sure you enable XINPUT for better compatibility. Just hold START + B for 5 seconds. Works well with Sonic Mania for PC, and Kega Fusion.

> 3 dayI use this for PC fighting games. Still need to try it on Playstation 3 for Street Fighter III Online Edition. So I tried this for Street Fighter 3rd Strike: Online Edition PS3 and it is Perfect. Left and right bumper are able to configure for a Total of 8 buttons. Best D-pad.

Greater than one weekFeels great to hold, and compatible with lots of different hardware. The material feels good, the buttons feel nice and a little clicky. The D-pad is decent -- better than I had feared, but still occasionally gave me incorrect inputs. More than good enough for casual retro gaming, but I usually switch to the Hori Fighting Commander 4 when I want to play anything seriously.

> 3 dayGreat product with a very long cord. Quick tip, the mode button will reset the genesis mini back to the game select screen.

> 3 dayWhat else can I say about the Genesis controller that hasnt already been said? It is the perfect size for adult hands, has tremendous button response, and the D-Pad does what Nintendo could only dream of. (Not saying the consoles werent equal in terms of games.) The retrobit usb 8-button controller perfectly captures the sega level of quality from the early 90s, thus introducing the greatness of the Genesis to a whole new generation of fans. It works perfectly with my retropie Raspberry Pi system, and after some minor reprogramming, I can play the entire library of Genesis games like its 1993 all over again. I was especially impressed with the fluidity of the button response (no snapping or popping here) and the substantial weight of the controller. You feel as if you can really hammer on it when playing TMNT or jerk on the D-Pad when playing Super Monaco GP without damaging it. Overall, Im incredibly pleased with my purchase, and would encourage any retrogamer to do so as well. Cowabunga dudes!
