Ive tried a lot of so-called Sega USB gamepads, and none of them match the quality of this product. It is exactly what you have been missing, you will remember immediately the feel of a real Sega Genesis game pad. The size is right, the cable is super long with a very thick gauge that wont likely fall apart, even the weight is right, they did everything correctly with this product, and the price is reasonable. Make sure you enable XINPUT for better compatibility. Just hold START + B for 5 seconds. Works well with Sonic Mania for PC, and Kega Fusion.

A controller that feels authentic for your genesis games. This is the real deal. -Amazing D-pad. -Responsive buttons -Great shape -Authentic genesis controller size & weight Theres a reason Sega put their seal of quality on this. Plugs in via USB and is perfect for your genesis mini (plus works on PC, Switch, etc.) The added L and R shoulder buttons are a great option to have, as well as the mode button which can act as a SELECT stand-in for certain games. Cord length is generous, and made of a flexible material. Overall? Incredible recreation of this classic design, strongly recommended for classic Sega fans. MY ONLY COMPLAINT: One of the two controllers I ordered (got one black and one clear blue) arrived with shipping labels straight on the packaging for the controller itself. No outer box, no bag, just the controller box with labels stuck right on the face of it. With some patience I was able to peel it off with nothing left ruining the box art, but that certainly wasnt ideal. More of a warehouse issue than anything to do with this controller, really. The other controller I received arrived in a bag, in perfect condition. The product itself, and retro-bit in general are definitely worthy purchases. Game on, gamers.

This is an awesome controller. Liked it so much I actually bought another one. Love playing two player games with my son and of course takes me back to my Sega days. Use it for the Sega Sega CD and even Sega Saturn emulators. Fantastic controller, totally worth the money.

I purchased this particular unit a couple of years ago. It’s absolutely durable and perfect for your pre-Dreamcast Sega gaming needs. The cord is long enough for couch gaming. It feels just like it’s original OEM counterpart…only difference is shoulder pads for use with Sega Saturn emulation. Seriously the best retro pad on the market. So much so I recently bought the clear blue version of it.

Solid piece that looks and feels just like the original Genesis 6 button gamepad. You cant beat the precision and responsiveness of this controller when it comes to playing retro 16 bit Sega games.

So, the product is absolutely great. Feels just like I remember the Genesis controllers of old feeling, and it works great with my MiSTer setup for plating retro games, so Im really happy with the product. What Im not happy with is the delivery being a day late, which is becoming a fairly frequent problem with Amazon. Its frustrating that they dont dispatch the order as soon as you place it, but whats annoying is they give you a delivery date (for me it was Wednesday), yet they only dispatched the item on Wednesday morning. Its not clear how they expect USPS to do same day delivery when they only put the product into the Post Office at 5 in the morning, the day the thing is supposed to be delivered.

Dont bother playing Contra Hard Corps because its impossible to shoot up without moving left or right. If you try to duck you will just move and stand up, which will make you lose your prone position. It was foolish of me to buy the USB one for emulator practice after the console version of this controller had the same exact problem. It does look great and its still a good backup controller. The buttons all feel good and work well, and the d-pad is ok for some games that dont require super precision.

I was a bit hesitant to buying this controller at first due to Retro-Bit being the manufacturer (lets just say they normally dont make the best quality stuff), but after spending some time with this, I have to say that Im impressed. The buttons and the D-pad are nice and responsive. My only real nitpicks are the USB cord being a bit too long for my liking (its about ten feet long, personally wouldve been fine if it was six feet) and that the new shoulder buttons they added are a bit too sensitive but your millage may vary.

Im loving my Genesis mini, but needed a way to play from my comfy chair without moving it so close to the TV (the Mini comes with two classic Genesis controllers, which are great, but have a somewhat short 6-foot cord). This controller has a ten-foot cord, which is exactly what I needed. It feels great, I dont have to charge it (looking at you, wireless controllers), and the mode button makes accessing the save menu much quicker. Unfortunately, I was also hoping to use it to play Symphony of the Night on my Chromebook, but after connecting it with my USB-C to USB adapter, it appears that the controller is not yet supported. Tried connecting to my Moto G7 as well. No dice. Still, for 20 bucks, if you have a Genesis or Genesis mini and want a bit more reach and convenience, its hard to go wrong with this.
