> 24 hourI purchased this particular unit a couple of years ago. It’s absolutely durable and perfect for your pre-Dreamcast Sega gaming needs. The cord is long enough for couch gaming. It feels just like it’s original OEM counterpart…only difference is shoulder pads for use with Sega Saturn emulation. Seriously the best retro pad on the market. So much so I recently bought the clear blue version of it.

> 24 hourIm loving my Genesis mini, but needed a way to play from my comfy chair without moving it so close to the TV (the Mini comes with two classic Genesis controllers, which are great, but have a somewhat short 6-foot cord). This controller has a ten-foot cord, which is exactly what I needed. It feels great, I dont have to charge it (looking at you, wireless controllers), and the mode button makes accessing the save menu much quicker. Unfortunately, I was also hoping to use it to play Symphony of the Night on my Chromebook, but after connecting it with my USB-C to USB adapter, it appears that the controller is not yet supported. Tried connecting to my Moto G7 as well. No dice. Still, for 20 bucks, if you have a Genesis or Genesis mini and want a bit more reach and convenience, its hard to go wrong with this.

> 24 hourI bought this so I could play all the Sega Genesis games I downloaded off Steam…with a little bit of configuration in the Steam system…it works like magic…feels just like the old 6 button controllers but has bumper buttons too…can’t wait for the dual analog 10 button Genesis controller to come out…till then…this’ll due just fine

> 24 hourAWESOME! Feels really good! Use it on my genesis classic and also PC. Well worth it. Buttons are great, d-pad is great. One of the best retro style controllers Ive used. If you want a great retro controller for PC or micro console, get this for sure!

> 24 hourBut only 1 complaint... I wish the mode button was moved above the start button. I hit it way to often when trying to accesses start... Which is bad for retropie gaming because select (mode) + start = exit game. Thought I havent had an accidental closing of a game. Which for the shape of the mode button is the only reason it hasnt happened yet. These beat the SNES remotes Ive been using. No more bad D-pads and having to use shoulder buttons to play 6 button genesis games. Retropie detects these controllers with no problem. Set up was super easy and work great with NES, SNES, Genesis and master system games that I used. These feel well made, responsive and look amazing. The 10 ft cord is also welcomed... No more USB extension cables.

> 24 hourI got this controller to work with my Raspberry Pi in its Mega-Pi case, and this controller doesnt disappoint. Now, to be fair, I grew up with the 3-button controller as a kid, so I didnt have the 6 button version. However, this feels very well made and I was able to play my genesis games like a kid again once I had it all set up. Note: You will need to set up the buttons a bit differently in recalbox/retropie/batocera/Lakka or whatever you choose to use. Retropie has a guide on which buttons need to be which if you want to make sure that genesis games play correctly.

> 24 hourWell you could buy that other 8-bitdo junk and pay more, and have to mod it to get it to work. Or you could buy this gem that works like it should. Wish I had bought two when I got one. Work great with my PC and knock off consoles too. Great feel to it.

> 24 hourThis controller is perfect. It feels just like the original, the materials are of premium quality, the 10ft/3m cable is fantastic, I hate short cables. The D-pad works great, even better than what I expected. The only thing I didnt expect is that when using it on PC it always resets to the default state (D-input) each time you connect it, but its just a matter of pressing start 5 seconds and it goes to X-input, nothing really bad.

> 24 hourAs a collector of original hardware, I am always a bit hesitant of third-party controllers claiming to be just like the originals. After hearing other reviews, I decided to take the plunge and give this one a try however. I was told that Sega had a hand in helping this one come to market (hence, the stamp of approval on the box). This absolutely seems to be the case, because these controllers feel extremely accurate compared to the originals and work very well in their own right. There may be a slight weight difference, but its nearly imperceptible. I would recommend these controllers to anyone that wants to have an accurate representation of the original hardware on USB.
