> 24 hourI like the speed of the Sabrent 1TB Rocket NVMe 4.0 Gen4 PCIe M.2 Internal SSD. I have had other NVMe drives that claim speeds they can never reach such as the Intel Optane NVMe is actually slower than a SSD on SATA 6 port UPDATE 11-25-2021; After running this drive just a few months on an ASUS ROG STRIX Z590-E GAMING WIFI Motherboard Houston - We have a problem . It has been my boot drive from day 1. I am running Intel Core i7-11700K @ 5.0 GHz Unlocked LGA 1200 ROG Strix Z590-E Gaming WiFi Motherboard DDR4 4X M.2 Patriot Viper Steel DDR4 16GB (2 x 8GB) 4400MHz Performance Memory Kit - PVS416G440C9K x2 32GB 1600W power supply , Thermaltake Cosmos full tower. avg idle temp 42c, loaded avg 53c, highest ever recorded 64c Drive has encountered an error and now reports 0GB. I have reset the CMOS, I have never overclocked the system, ran memtest no problems, Processor seems to be working or the memtest would not work. Power supply is working fine on all rails. trouble shooting now will update with results.

> 24 hourI was blow away when I got my first SSD to see 500Mb/s read/write. Then I got the m.2 and saw 2000MB/s. Finally I got a new Ryzen with PCIe 4.0 so I upgraded to this, and see 5000MB/s for reads and not much less for writes. It’s truly incredible. For booting windows it takes <10 seconds and I think 8 of those are BIOS. Hard drive used to be the slowest part of the computer, but not anymore. Now, it’s on par with DDR memory from a couple years ago. If you have a beast of a CPU and tons of RAM, you can’t skip out on the drive. Ditch your HD and SATA drives and go M.2, just makes sure your motherboard supports at least one, and make sure it is PCIe 4.0, if it is 3.0 it will work, but at half the speed. Which, 2500MB/s is nothing to scoff at, but you paid for 5000MB, so you want to get it. I love this thing, I am thinking that after I write this I might just order a second 2TB for the other slot, and not worry about space for a while! It’s THAT impressive.

> 24 hourIt’s fast, I’ll say that. Ran some benchmarks and got 5000mb/s Read 4000mb/s write speeds. The same test on more expensive drives show this drive is indeed a good purchase. Easy to install and set up.

> 24 hourPurchased on Sep 21, 2020, died on Oct 28th, 2022. For this reason, I cant recommend. Get a Samsung, the one I bought years before this Sabrent is still working. For speed, 990 pro or SK hynix p41. I got the p41 and it blows this Sabrent out of the water in terms of speed (well see about reliability). Getting speeds almost 100% faster on the p41 than the Sabrent. Oh, and when an NVME dies - thats it - you cant even detect the drive to try to recover any data. Keep that in mind and backup important things to another drive regularly.

> 24 hourThis was my first time using this brand and I am pleasantly surprised in the speed and performance. This will be my go to brand for future builds and I recommend to anyone who was skeptical like I was to try it. You wont be disappointed.

> 24 hourI built my PC back in late February, and for that time this SSD was really good. Fastest boot times Ive ever had in a computer, great game load times, It performed super well all around. Then in late october, my PC randomly blue screened and turned off. When I tried to turn it back on, it would not boot. Then I got an error saying the boot drive cannot be found. After troubleshooting, I determined the SSD was dead. I then contacted Sabrent Support, which responded to me after 2 days, which isnt bad. However, Sabrents support website and service is straight up awful, and my first response from support asked me to turn the PC on and download Rocket Control Panel, which I obviously couldnt do because the SSD was dead. I replied to the email, and didnt receive a response for another 3 days. Finally, I get a response from support asking me to follow up on the initial response, warning the case will be automatically closed. Wondering what was going on, I replied again, and 2 days later I got enough response saying they are closing the ticket because they couldnt get in touch with me. This is when I realized that in order to contact Sabrent, I would have to make a new ticket EVERY SINGLE TIME I replied to an email because their website doesnt have a reply feature either! I probably made like 7 new support tickets. On the bright side, I did get a replacement SSD which arrived in December, a little over a month later. Since december it has been working, though I bought a Samsung 970 Pro to replace it as my boot drive since I wasnt waiting for a month to use my PC, so it is now my gaming drive mainly. I talked to a few people who had a similar experience as me, so it seems that its somewhat common. I cant recommend this SSD because of this, please take your money elsewhere, as I feel like Sabrent has some sort of QC issues.

> 24 hourGreat drive, I have no issue with Sabrent, the drive, or the software they provide. The issue has to do with large storage size ssds in general. you will have to manually reformat this drive from MBT to GPT for storage partitions to be properly sized. Windows just does not play nice when auto partitioning this drive in its default MBT format. There are plenty of youtube videos that will walk you through this process either from a fresh windows install or formatting within windows and then mirroring a drive. For those who are thinking of transferring an OS from an HDD(harddisk Drive) to and SDD(SolidState Drive) its better to do a fresh install of windows on the new drive reinstall all your programs and then transfer files from the old drive over. This has to do with the different ways HDDs and SSDs store data. You will lose out on some of the performance this drive has to offer if you dont. Great drive, great price and performance, highly recommend. Just requires a little more work than some may expect.

> 24 hourSo the feeling of speed in my mind, is how fast does Windows install and boot. Super Fast is what I can say. Lets talk a bout the packaging, WoW I was surprised by how nice this M.2 was packaged. I included some photos. The copper looking part of packaging is actually a metal container. All the manuals are inside as well. I have no hesitation of buying this product again. Any M.2 SSD I need from now, will be this one.
