I will let the screenshot talk for me. This is a UEFI hardware RAID0 setup on a Windows 11 O/S. The mainboard is PICe 4.00 x570

This was part of a water-cooled monster. It got so cold inside the case around the water block that water condensed and dripped on my expensive NVMe. Live and Learn.

Sabrent is a brand I never heard of up until a few years ago, and it had become mentioned often amongst tech-tubers and hardware reviewers. I decided to give the company a try, and purchased their 2tb model for my new computer build (5600x, w/Asus B550i Strix Motherboard). Im not going to comment on installation, performance, etc.. because well, all NVME drivers install the same way as any other, and performance seems only incrementally faster then a normal SSD connected to a SATA, which I suspect is due to most games not taking advantage of these drives strengths. What I will comment on is the firmware support and customer support from Sabrent. For the most part, the drive is compatible with my setup, but I had overlooked one tiny, crucial thing: its not on Asuss (my motherboard manufacturer) Qualified Vender List. Whats that you say? Well, basically, it goes on that list once the piece of hardware has been tested to work with the motherboard. And unfortunately, Sabrents model wasnt on there. As a matter of fact, Sabrent wasnt on A LOT of the motherboards manufacturers QVL list. I suspect this is why this NVME is more affordable then, lets say, a comparable $350+ Samsung. You pay a little more for the Samsung because part of that cost includes Samsung going out of their way to talk to the Motherboard venders to ensure, or at least to develop, proper firmware drivers to support the motherboard. Sabrent doesnt seem to do that (based on my lookup for other motherboard makers - including my own). As a result, some things may or may not work as they should, and in my case, I encountered an issued where, when I put the computer to sleep and attempted to turn it on, after the 2nd attempt, it would completely reboot itself and then go into the system UEFI, which now displays no Sabrent NVME. In order to fix this, I would have to do a normal restart. It also means that I cant reliably put my computer in a sleep state and would need to turn on / shutdown the machine each time I want to use and, and when Im done. Is it annoying? YES. Is it enough to have forced me to return it? No, because I can live with it. If youre thinking of buying this, it would be up to you on whether you would want to gamble with that kind of reliability and potentially end up with an issue thats even worse. Oh, and one last thing - I contacted Sabrent about this issue, and I pointed out to them that theyre not on a venders QVL list. They basically just blew it off and said it was something else or the venders fault. Their response was also very poorly written and hard to understand, and didnt seem progress beyond offering a few basic troubleshooting steps (which I did before contacting them). Overall, Im ambivalent about this product and this company. While the issue above is not a deal-breaker for my current purchase, I would probably think twice over saving a few dollars and just buy a more expensive, more reputable brand.

Easy installation, fast, stable. Using it for the OS drive.

Most recent Update: I got a new ssd from the RMA. Once the RMA was approved the return went normally. Original review: The ssd started dying after 6 months. I reinstalled windows 3 times trying to fix it. Now Sabrent wants me to copy my ssd and reinstall windows again. The Sabrent support is bad and kind of rude. They will jerk you around until you give up on a valid warranty claim. Windows cannot fix the errors and they blame the install partitions for not being low level formatted. I guess I will just buy a new ssd and copy to that to fix it. UPDATE I had to reinstall my windows 4 times in the last 6 months because the drive went bad. First the apps do not start or turn themselves off. The games start malfunctioning and become slow to respond. The files get corrupt and cannot be fixed using cmd prompt and restart. The Sabrent customer service is not there to help you, they just troll you. They make you do a long list of things to prove something they do not want proven just to wear you down. You have to reinstall your windows over again for the fifth time in a year and use unknown apps to do tests which are meant just to keep you busy so you will give up and just throw it away instead of trying to get an RMA. They are rude and pushy too. They gave me a two days deadline to use an unknown app to test the ssd while I was busy from doing another windows reinstall that did nothing. The millions of bad files could not be fixed. Still no RMA. There are literally dozens of complaints about all of this from Sabrent support on the other reviews. The drive goes bad in 6 to 8 months and all Sabrent customer support does is give you and endless wild goose chase of tasks just to wear you down and cheat you out of an honest RMA. I bought a WD Black 850 and moved on. All the problems went away when the Sabrent ssd went away. BUY THE WD BLACK 850 instead and save yourself endless headaches. My computer has never run better now with the WD Black 850 and is much faster too.

This SSD performs quite well on my in house build PC - which has two Gen4 PCIe M.2 ports. I am getting full 7000 MB/s reads. After years of transfer rates around 300 to 600 MB/s, this SSD is absolutely stunning. Absolutely zooming along in LightRoom.

I built my PC back in late February, and for that time this SSD was really good. Fastest boot times Ive ever had in a computer, great game load times, It performed super well all around. Then in late october, my PC randomly blue screened and turned off. When I tried to turn it back on, it would not boot. Then I got an error saying the boot drive cannot be found. After troubleshooting, I determined the SSD was dead. I then contacted Sabrent Support, which responded to me after 2 days, which isnt bad. However, Sabrents support website and service is straight up awful, and my first response from support asked me to turn the PC on and download Rocket Control Panel, which I obviously couldnt do because the SSD was dead. I replied to the email, and didnt receive a response for another 3 days. Finally, I get a response from support asking me to follow up on the initial response, warning the case will be automatically closed. Wondering what was going on, I replied again, and 2 days later I got enough response saying they are closing the ticket because they couldnt get in touch with me. This is when I realized that in order to contact Sabrent, I would have to make a new ticket EVERY SINGLE TIME I replied to an email because their website doesnt have a reply feature either! I probably made like 7 new support tickets. On the bright side, I did get a replacement SSD which arrived in December, a little over a month later. Since december it has been working, though I bought a Samsung 970 Pro to replace it as my boot drive since I wasnt waiting for a month to use my PC, so it is now my gaming drive mainly. I talked to a few people who had a similar experience as me, so it seems that its somewhat common. I cant recommend this SSD because of this, please take your money elsewhere, as I feel like Sabrent has some sort of QC issues.

So far so good. Been using this drive for 3 1/2 years every day doing normal activities. Programs load super fast and the drive is still showing that it has 96% life still left. Never the less, good solid drive that hasnt let me down yet. Crystal mark shows 5 GB per/second read & 2 GB p/s write.

Performance is fine, it runs as advertised. However, I use this on my desktop daily driver and I had the first one die on me about 6 months in. I got a replacement through warranty and that one just died after about two years. I would avoid these and go with the samsung 980 pro which is about the same price anyway.
