> 3 dayBeautiful drive comes beautifully packaged in metal case. Once I got it running it was great - but it took QUITE a while. I initially used an NVME USB C case to mount the drive in but my Asus ROG Strix 570e did not like that combination and the computer kept freezing up. The Acronis software didnt work either. No big deal so I mounted the drive in the second M.2 socket. That did not go well either - same problem. I gave up for a few days and pondered the situation. It then occurred to me to clone my original M.2 Gen.3 to an SATA drive using Mini Tool Partition Wizard. 10 Min. later - DONE. It booted fine off the HD. I then removed the original Gen. 3 Silicon Power drive and replaced it in the same slot with the 1TB Sabrent. Fired up Sabrents Acronis Software and 7 Min. later it was finished. Shut down the computer. Removed the SATA drive that I cloned from. Fired it up again and checked the Bios. It was fine. The boot folder was updated with the Sabrent drive as the main boot drive. Now 2 days later and Ive booted up the PC maybe 20 times with no errors. It took a bit of work but Im very happy now. Not blaming Sabrent. I know they offer a USB C case for cloning but I figured mine would work. It didnt. I did think about installing windows from scratch (and even tried it) but some of my software refused to activate. I think this Gen 4 thing is just a little bit too new still. I suspect that in a few months they will have it sorted out and make the transition a lot easier. Finally, I tested it with Crystal Disk Mark and it met its specs! 1800TBW is great for TLC and as good or better than MLC. Ive seen comparable QLC drives that only have a 200TBW rating (same 1TB size). So, If youre doing a fresh install it should be a piece of cake. If cloning, be prepared to spend some time on it. *****UPDATE***** Its now a year later since I bought this drive and it has been FLAWLESS! I test the speed once in a while and although it might be slightly slower than when totally fresh, its very close. What I like best is the endurance of this drive. 1800TBW is way more than most other TLC drives and even beats some MLC drives. Just an amazing product.

> 3 dayPros: Very fast when it works. Cons: When it doesnt work, be prepared for the run around and to send lots of time to the Time Vampires of Sabrent support. The drive was installed in a new system on 25 March 2021 and died with Blue Screen Errors on 10 May 2021. The system would start to slow to a crawl, the HDD light would stay on solid and then the system would blue screen with a WHEA_UNRECOVERABLE_ERROR . The system would reboot and the HDD light would stay on solid. It would then enter the BIOS and the BIOS was no longer able to see the SSD. After powering the system off, the system would appear to boot normally, but as soon as Windows loaded, the cycle would repeat: Bluescreen, restart into BIOS with HDD light on solid, BIOS unable to see the SSD. This same behavior was observed when installing the drive in a different computer. We have restored our backup to a new SSD (PNY M280CS3030) and the system is now functioning normally. On to warranty fiasco: Alfred G., as he goes by via email, or Carey as he introduced himself when calling in on the support number was our support technician. We opened the support ticket via Sabrents website on Monday, May 10th - at 9:46PM, Alfred G. responded on Tuesday, May 11th at 4:42PM and requested more information. We sent three email messages to [email protected] and go no response until Alfred G. sent a message on Thursday May 13th at 9:32AM with a I am following up on this ticket to find out if you still have questions or if you need any further assistance. - either Sabrent is not reading their email, not receiving it, or doesnt care. So, we called their support number and were able to talk with someone who introduced themselves as Carey. Carey later reveals that he is none other than the infamous Alfred G. Alfred G. / Carey says that he hasnt received any of the three messages weve sent to him and we try to send messages to [email protected] and [email protected] but both email accounts arent able to receive messages from our Microsoft email account. Alfred G. / Carey insists that he has to have the information requested via email and refused to take it over the phone. Alfred G. / Carey is trained well to waste your time! So, we asked to speak to a supervisor and Alfred G. / Carey responds that shes probably not available and will require the same information via email that he requested. Round and round we go. Bottom Line: Sabrents 5 year warranty is useless, but not worthless - it can still serve as a bad example. So, do yourself a favor and purchase a product from a manufacturer who honors their warranty. And stay off my lawn!

Greater than one weekSabrent Storage drives in my personal opinion are the best drives I have used in multiple situations... This is for the purchase I made of x2 1TB Sabrent Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 Gen4 M.2 Drives... I bought both of these one night when they were having a quick sale with half off the original pricing... I was building a new PC and grabbed them while I could... They have been nothing but reliable and super fast! I use them in my Gigabyte Motherboard M.2 Slots #2 & #3 as Storage & Backup. (My Slot #1 holds a 500MB Samsung 980 Pro I grabbed when that was on sale just for my OS) I wouldve added another Sabrent M.2 drive like these 1TB models as my OS however I wanted to test out Samsungs high end M.2 as so far only Sabrent & Samsung have been the best choices from all the research Ive gone thru... Its just Samsung usually gets 2nd place with me vs Sabrent due to cost but when theres a sale thats different at times... These each have a capacity of 1TB & the software used with them to analyze the drives and keep them updated runs perfectly fine... Ive had zero issues with Sabrent Drives and will continue to purchase them... If anyone is interested in an awesome external USB-C (to usb-c or to usb-a it has 2 cables) I would check out the Sabrent 1TB Rocket Nano External SSD Drive! Its amazing for portable storage and its extremely fast with data transfers! Its built in USB 3.2 gives speeds of 1,000MB/s! Check it out if u like on Amazon... search for: SB-1TB-NANO-BLK

> 3 dayDecided to finally upgrade my boot drive from a Samsung Evo 960 250GB drive to this Sabrent Rocket NVMe 4.0 1TB, in order to install more of my favorite games on my boot drive in addition to the operating system. This drive is also a much newer generation and has WAY faster read/write speeds on paper. I still use spinning HDDs for storage and backup (an external 8TB, 2 internal 3TB, and 1 internal 4TB). Anyway, when I saw this ultra fast drive at an affordable price point with outstanding reviews I jumped on it. Sabrents Acronis cloning software was ridiculously easy to use, a few clicks and it cloned everything from my 250GB drive including the boot sector, while still maintaining the full 1TB of storage space (minus 70GB or about 7%, which is to be expected). WHen I rebooted and set this drive to the boot drive in BIOS, it booted up immediately. Overall Im extremely satisfied. IMPORTANT NOTE: My box didnt have the serial number on it, just a black box that says S/N above the model number. The serial number is on the actual drive, so make sure that you record it before installing the drive under a heat sink in order to register the drive.

> 3 dayHonestly I didnt this. I bought it because it was an m.2 1 terabyte for rather cheap thats gen 4. Couldve spent at least 20 more dollars to get the SNESX or whatever it is the WD Black m.2. It does its job. Its quick and reads fast and writes fast. For games you dont really need an SSD, but an SSD does help. So is this SSD worth it? Its done what I needed it to, move large large files very quickly and recover large files as well. Its 600tbw, so I dont think Ill be hitting that anytime soon. You get about 981 gbs worth of use when you format and fix it. Originally I had an issue installing the ssd, it didnt want to be recognized. After some fiddling, it finally started working. Combination of pushing it in more and wriggling of it. Its not a bad drive, I very much like it and its suiting me quite well. At the time of writing this I got it for 79$ for the gen 4, 1tb drive.

> 3 dayPurchased on Sep 21, 2020, died on Oct 28th, 2022. For this reason, I cant recommend. Get a Samsung, the one I bought years before this Sabrent is still working. For speed, 990 pro or SK hynix p41. I got the p41 and it blows this Sabrent out of the water in terms of speed (well see about reliability). Getting speeds almost 100% faster on the p41 than the Sabrent. Oh, and when an NVME dies - thats it - you cant even detect the drive to try to recover any data. Keep that in mind and backup important things to another drive regularly.

> 3 dayThis drive functions just fine, though it is currently installed in a PCIe 3.0 interface. In that configuration, a Samsung 970 EVO Plus which is also in the same machine drags it across the pavement. I’m not convinced this is an issue with the drive, as it isn’t intended for PCIe 3.0. I will be moving it to my Ryzen based machine, which supports PCIe 4.0 NVMe this weekend. I anticipate the performance will increase significantly- as it should. Upon completion of that migration, I’ll update my review such that it’s a more fair assessment of the drive. Either way, an update will be made, and made honestly. If it fails to considerably out perform the 3.0 Samsung in every category, I’ll post a transparent assessment, with screenshots to show any deficiencies. Furthermore, if it fails to outperform it significantly, I’d likely relegate this to the “not worth the investment” category. However, at this time I cannot complain. It works, and works well. It belongs in a machine with the correct interface before making definitive assertions.

> 3 dayIve only had this SSD for a couple of weeks but I can already tell the difference on how fast it is. Games load very quickly and the storage of 2TB is perfect for me. Ive already downloaded a bunch of games and still have plenty of space that makes me feel comfortable for other things like video collections and editing files. Im pretty sure Ive read theres not much difference between gen 3 and gen 4 but opted for this one anyway. Very happy with this purchase.
