> 24 hourI had previously had a 2x27 Samsung S27D590P dual monitor setup for about 6 years until one of them gave up the ghost a few weeks ago (backlight across the top went out). So I was finally able to have the excuse to upgrade to a 32 with Freesync. Took at a look at the G7 32 but wasnt keen on the severe curve and seven hundred plus price point, then I found this 32 G5 with the same curve, laugh, but hundreds cheaper. Looked to be pretty new, not too many reviews so I took a flier on it. The 32 wasnt even on Samsungs monitor page yet but it was intriguing. When it came and was opened up it was really light to carry and move around. Installation of the stand was dead simple with just a screw on the bottom you could tighten yourself by hand if inclined. The curve actually helped make the fit on the desk a bit more manageable as it wasnt as wide as it would have been straightened out. It overwhelmed my remaining 27 (see pics) and sat higher being a bigger panel. I connected via Display Port (the second cable worked, the AmazonBasics one caused input drops and eventually put the panel to sleep, very weird, see separate review for that). My 5600XT and its Radeon software detected the monitor and switched Freesync on on the monitor itself. Now my main fun use case for this monitor is playing classic arcade games via MAME which Ive been involved with since 1997. Most golden era arcade games output non-60Hz refresh rates so it was AMAZING to finally be able to play these games without tricks to compensate for the non-standard refresh rates. Things like Mortal Kombat at 54.70684Hz and Pac-Man at 60.6060Hz immediately improved as you could observe smooth scrolling and a distinct lack of tearing. Every game I threw at it played silky smooth, so nice. For other tasks its similarly impressive. If you stay at 100% Windows 10 scaling you can get more headroom onscreen than 1080p as this is a 1440p panel. So far Ive been very happy with the monitor, especially at the sub $400 price point. Recommended. (j4.) [Update 2020.11.09] My other 27 Samsung died also recently (both within a month of each other!) So I bought a second G5 and have them next to each other on the desk in a nice extended curve. Nice to have a matched dual monitor setup again both at the same 1440 resolution. Second panel working as well as the first so far, no dead pixels on either thankfully.

> 24 hourI have had this monitor for roughly 2 months now and It has been great. The picture quality is fantastic compared to my old BenQ (XL2411P) and when compared to friends, it seems to be better and more vibrant. Although this monitor is great, there are 3 big downsides. Biggest and most important, its very fragile and flimsy. I have it sitting on a monitor riser and even typing this I can see the monitor shaking badly. Highly recommended a mount or a very, very large separated surface for this monitor. Secondly, the overall size of this monitor is crazy. The base and legs are 16in-18in across, even vertically is quite long. Not only is this a space issue but it also causes part of the flimsiness I had talked about. Third but not nearly as important, there are some monitor settings that are just missing in my opinion. On my BenQ there were TONS of color and vibrancy options and you could fine tune it so much. With this G5, you still can but there is a hell of a lot less to pick from as far as customization goes. Overall, its great but If you are looking to fine tune it to your EXACT liking, this may not be for you. Overal 7.5/10

> 24 hourGot this monitor to replace my old acer 3D monitor. The feature 3D on the monitor should tell you how long ago I purchased a monitor. So Im expecting a nice longitivy with this monitor. Ive only had it for about 4 days so Ill leave that part out for now. Now I consider myself a hardcore gamer as I put in anywhere from 60-90 hrs a week just gaming. Moving up to 1440p has been great games look much better but I quickly found that my 1070 cant play all my games at ultra settings but visually it still looks amazing. Now I play zero competitive games honestly dont care for it. So that may affect some for this review. But for me as a single player only type gamer this monitor had zero tearing, zero lag, zero flickering, and no issues with ghosting. The monitor has 144hz but me turning all my games to the highest settings I was lucky if i broke 100 fps most my games stayed around 60-80 fps. Some even dropped to 30s or 40s so again I want to stress Im not a competitive player so this had no affect on me. So of course all the positives I just said this monitor could do with no issues. HDR is ok on it but didnt expect much and its not a feature I would use anyways. Now the VESA mount it does work for the G5 however, make sure you use the rubber washers included in your monitor arm if you use one. When I first tried to set this up the placement of the 75x75 made it difficult because of the round backing. So the rubber washers helped lift it up just a bit so that the VESA mount was perfect. Now I didnt have any dead pixels another plus with this monitor and the backlight bleed for me was hardly noticeable so plus again. The 1000r curve made me completely fine with losing 3D as Im in the minority who loves 3D gaming along with 3D movies. But after seeing the curve and how it works Im perfectly fine with losing that feature now. Overall, Im very happy with this monitor especially since I was able to nab this at $200 which I dont know of any 1440p 144hz you can get at that price so as long as this monitor can give me 5+ years Im going to recommend anyone who is not a competitive player to grab this.

> 24 hourThe cable the monitor comes with is an HDMI cable, instead of a DisplayPort cable. This would be fine if this was a 60hz refresh rate monitor, but it is 144hz, which the cable this comes with doesnt support. If you want to make use of the full product, make sure to pick up a DP cable along with this, so you can actually use the 144hz you pay for.

> 24 hourI absolutely love this monitor. I use it for both home & work. My employer gave me 2 clunky screens that I now use as accessory screens instead. The 34 inch Samsung is wide enough where I can split my documents in 2 down the center and see everything side by side vs. having 2 separate screens that I have to constantly toggle documents back and forth from. It has both a HDMI & display port input that makes it easy to switch between my work laptop & home laptop.

> 24 hourHad the monitor for 9 months before the the screen started delaminating from the bezel at Top Center. I registered my monitor on Samsungs website to find out I had 20 days left on a one year warranty. After jumping though many hoops I spoke to a rep and had a repair ticket in. They game me a label to ship the monitor to a repair center. It took them about 2 days to replace the screen and sent the monitor back. Upon return, I did a dead pixel check and found 2 dead pixels with the new screen. Unfortunate but what can you do : / On the bright side I cannot really see them unless I look for them. Other than these issues the monitor has been great.

> 24 hourThe G5 gaming monitor has been a game changer for me. I play COD and I SIM Race. I used to wander who was shooting me from across the map wandering how they could see me and I couldnt see them. Welll, they must have one of these monitors as well because the clarity and colors are so great I can now see them from across the map and my game play has improved just because of this monitor. I know other things like GPUs go into the quality of the picture but just upgrading the monitor alone has been a God send. The sale price was awesome and put this monitor into my pay range, so thanks for that. I havent had any issues with it what so ever. Love it!!

> 24 hourI got a good deal on this monitor. Wish it would have been complete. Mine was missing the arm for the stand. Seems a bit washed out. But I am not an expert, so a new monitor could be outstanding. Nothing like seeing in person
