Beyond me, how a package this damaged even leaves the distribution center? I have owned this exact model of Samsung 4 Tb SSD for over a year, EXCELLENT product. That is why I ordered a second SSD of the same model. Upgraded to 4 stars, Amazon quickly replaced with a new properly sealed drive.

Excellent SSD. Upgraded my 2011 MacBook Pro with this and two 8gig ram cards. Now its faster than most new MacBooks.

I purchased the Samsung 1TB 870 EVO SSD. The good news is that it installed fine on my Linux system. The bad news is that a few months later I started experiencing data loss due to random bad sectors (which should never happen on a SSD) on data stored but never modified on this drive. Before I noticed this happening, I recommended the SSD to a friend who experienced the exact same issue. While researching the problem, I noticed others who had the exact same problem. For those with a technical background, the SMART data logged on the drive confirmed that this was happening.

I was a bit concerned about the weight of my laptop. I was surprised by how light it is. I have used it for 1 month. So far, so good

This SSD is very fast and work great for my set up
