My second EVO. This one seems to be working great.

I woke up this morning to a blue screen on my computer. Then it failed to POST. I started unplugging everything and reattaching everything one by one only to find out that something on this SSD has been messed up. My computer starts up just fine with everything connected except this SSD.

Its fast and reliable, well worth the price.

Noticed that windows is throwing 0x00000017 - Data error (cyclic redundancy check). when Im trying to access some of my files. Turned out that the SSD has a lot of bad sectors after just 1 year of light use.

After six months of no issues, I recently went on a 3 day vacation. PC was off the entire time. I come home and it doesnt turn on. I immediately suspect the PSU was the culprit and order a new one. When it arrives I install it to no avail. Same issue. A buddy generously allows me to try my components on his PC. One after another each component was test from RAM to GPU all successfully POST and give obvious errors when storage isnt connected. I connect this SSD, power on and theres an immediate loud electrical noise and smell of smoke.

WOW!!! Installed on 4/21/2021 and it is DEAD on 1/21/2022

I installed this on a 2012 ASUS ROG 17 inch Gaming Laptop to replace the two 500 GB HDDs. Let me tell you, the improvement was EXTREME. It took my laptop about 50 seconds to boot with the old HDD. Now, it boots in under 10 seconds - and that includes loading all the apps that run at start up. BE ADVISED, you may need a SCSI adapter to migrate your OS and data onto the drive through a USB Port, which can be done using the data migration app from Samsung (its free). This SSD has breathed a whole new life into my 13 year old laptop and it runs like a scalded dog now.

Good product fair price.

Unfortunately, someone upgraded my OS from Win 7 Pro (64 bit) to Win 10. The result was a ponderously slow laptop. Replaced the 250 GB HDD with this SSD and all is well. Its now a viable laptop for $44. Extra RAM would have been about the same price, but not the same improvement in performance. Boot time went from 210 to 40 seconds. What a fabulous deal.

My brother just installed this on my very slow laptop and now it is running so fast and smooth!! Great product!!
