I upgraded the original, non SSD, hard drive on my ACER RT-571T with the CORE i5 7th Gen. The installation was easy enough, as I have experience with electronics and had the right tools (an important aspect). I used older connection cables, separate power and data cables, before disassembly to migrate the data. The Samsung software made migrating all the software from the old drive to the new one really easy. Disassembly of the laptop was relatively easy. The ACERs original hard drive had a silicone case that fit the EVO making reassembly just as easy as disassembly.

Bought one about 6 months ago for my desktop easy to install and cloned my old drive with a few clicks. So good I bought one for my daughters laptop highly recommend this.

Whats to say? I had an older Gen 5 i3 laying around that I wanted to turn into an Ubuntu 22.04 NFS Server and this SSD way more than exceeded expectations! Installed and ran perfectly in under 5 minutes. This old PC has new life as a Linux NFS Server and is fast as he**. Id buy it again, and if youre on the fence, just do it. My reviews are always spot-on and truthful. This is a GREAT SSD that gives older Intel & AMD machines new life. Im buying three more of these for older machines that Im refurbishing and giving away to families that need computers for their kids & schools. Theyre a very good value compared to other off-brand SSDs. Dont cheap out, go Samsung!!

bought 5 of these in 2021.

I ordered this yesterday and it arrived a day later. Just completed a 2 pass certification on it and zero errors reported. Its as fast as it should be in a thunderbolt enclosure.

I used this hard drive to swap with the one I had in my laptop. Its a day and night different from a 5400 rpm drive to this beast!

Now my iMac is 10Xs more responsive than before. No issues since I started using it as my daily SSD.
