make my old laptop work like a champ real zippy

Have been loyal to Samsung SSD drives but after today not so sure. Bought this 9.5 months ago and the last few days Ive been getting startup errors and have narrowed it down to this drive. It scans at 30% drive health and repeatedly gives critical high risk events so I imagine Im days away from complete failure.

It is good item and I install in my computer I like this and recommend to friends

Swapped out my old drive for this SSD and worked well for me. Boots super fast now. I’m happy.

Not much to say other than it works as intended. I Imaged over the windows 10 installation from a dying SSD and brought fresh life into the PC.

I have only bought and used a few SSDs, I still am a bit wary of them, as I have used hard drives since they first became available. There is not doubt that SSDs are a lot faster, use less power, and run far cooler, not to mention quieter. Samsung has been a game changer in this field.

Using as a backup drive and so far so good. MSFT has made it very difficult to find their system tools for backing up but they are in Win11 through control panel. How long until they remove this capability in a future upgrade?

My only problem was transferring the system to the new disk. MS backup is not helpful. I used a third party app successfully. Use CrystalDiskInfo to track expected lifetime. Get a disk at least twice your actual requirements so it can spread your data and avoid pounding the same cells.
