Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

When you use it as an external USB storage drive, Samsungs Magician software does not support it. Ive read that it may be supported if installed internally with a SATA connector. Wont initialize otherwise. Had to research and go through a special procedure to get it to work as an external USB drive. But it is now working fine and am using it as a backup storage drive with Windows 10 Pro, Version 1903. I gave it 5 Stars because they are reliable and Samsung SSDs are top-of-the-line.

I am not a big fan of Samsung but this is the easiest brand. It is very easy compared to other name brand that you have to transfer from 1 tb old hard drive to a new Samsung SSD 500 gb with their software.

Five stars for Samsung 860 EVO 1 TB without any doubt. I am not new to the realm of SSD drives and none of them ever broken or failed on me but this particular one is not just way better than all others I have ever had and used on the paper, it’s truly a wizard when it comes to the performance unless you are planning to make it even better with a MV2 model but it is going to be super expensive for the equal capacity as 1 TB and for what I am doing with my system it’s not worth tens or dollars more to get just a few seconds difference.

Sturdy n easy to fit

I have a Sony VAIO computer bought in 2012. Excellent machine but over time, both the programs that I usually use and the operating system have been renewing, resulting in a decrease in my computer speed response. After suffering with a slow system, with an inefficient response in my work, I looked for what options could give me a troubleshoot. I thought that changing the RAM would help me and I was about to buy a higher capacity memory, but my son recommended not to do it and that what would really work for me is to change the HDD (Hard Disk Drive) for an SSD (Solid State Dirve ). Fortunately I listened to him and bought the Samsung 860 EVO 500GB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E500B / AM) through Amazon and now I see the big difference. My world has become clear. The service was excellent, even in this health crisis Amazon delivered the product before the promised time. Now, no more delays in startup, use of heavy applications, etc ... Amazon and Product 100% recommended.

I wish I knew it was this chap before I spent 250 back in February but works great too of the line ssd very quiet very fast 2 of them made my mid 2012 MacBook Pro run like a 2020 MacBook

I have a dell laptop, I used acronis true image to move my windows image to the new HD. Super fast, this HardDrive smokes my old platter drive.. it runs like it was broken before. 13 second to Ctrl+Alt state, startup times where almost 2 minutes. this is from 100% power down state. hold the power button after it was shutdown just to insure it is in a power down off state.

Solid State Drives have been around for a while, as an IT consultant ive been replacing regular hard drives with solid state drives when there was a need for all my customers. Eventually I had to pop in to my wifes laptop as well. Never had any complaints with the samsung evo series drives and would definitely recommend them.

Ive been using Samsung SSDs for both myself and family members to give their computers a massive boost in performance. When other cheaper brands have gone out, the Samsungs just keep on going. They also honor their 5 year warranty, which is nice. I recently put one of these in my PlayStation 4 Pro, which then allows me to enable a performance option in the settings. It cuts down on load times in games by up to 50%.
