Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

Works great in my MacBook Pro Mid-2012 model. It did expose my SATA cable as being bad! Existing hardrive worked ok, but now I know why it had some bazaar behavior. Changed the cable and all is well with super fast response. I believe the cable was seriously limiting the computer. If you have unexplainable BS happening when trying to install MacOS, be highly suspicious of the SATA cable.

Despite decent specs, my laptop was sometimes painfully slow. The HD seemed to be the main bottleneck, so I decided to try a SSD. I cloned my HD to the new drive and installed it, and the difference was immediately obvious. I now go from power on to my desktop in less than thirty seconds. Apps launch quickly, and dragging delays are a thing of the past. Considering how much easier and more pleasant my laptop is to use, it was well worth the price.

Should have upgraded from the original hard drive years ago - SSD has such impressive efficiency.

upgrading from the 1tb drives to the 2tb drives because of the space and also the 1200TB vs 600TB. If your writing .5TB a day, the 1tb drive will last around 3.28 years vs 6.5 for the 2TB drive.

The best 2.5 SSD on the market for the past 5 years. Crucial is what I would suggest if money is an issue otherwise get this Samsung EVO and nothing else. Stay away from Kingston drives. I have seen those fail at high rates and replaced them in the field a lot. I work in IT.

Breathed new life into an 8+ year old 14 Macbook Pro. Shouldve done it sooner.

Bought it to replace the 2TB HDD on my PS4 Pro 500 Million since I plan on sticking with my Pro for the rest of my life.

Love the cloning app that comes with this thing for windows. Haven’t had a problem yet after cloning 15 computers. Also, knock on wood” no failures when compared to an off brand installed at the same time. All 15 cloning operations were EVO of varying capacities.

I do not use it for gaming or true backups, only storage. Would be nice if already formatted first for Mac and second for PC, but figured it out.

Great value. Speeded up cheap company laptop with 5400rpm drive and 4 GB of ram. Its like a $800 computer now. Acts as 32 GB of ram. Super fast drive. Processor is begging for a chance to breath. Made the laptop usable for me. Im used to fast ssd and I am to impatient for a slow drive.
