Purchased two of these (one for each of the two laptops in the household) to use for boot drives. Much faster than the old hard drives, and with a fresh install of Windows 10 (win 10 and Linux on one the computers), the boot time is much faster and overall performance improved. This is one way to bring new life to aging personal computers...

My laptop previously had an HDD (hard disk drive) and it was infuriatingly slow, laggy, constantly froze, and took forever just to boot up. Unfortunately the drive finally died on me and my brother recommended a SSD instead, saying my laptop will run a lot faster.

My SanDisk ssd for my Minecraft server died and I lost everything. Ive had a Samsung evo in my main gaming pc for years with no problems so I got another one. Samsung makes fast and reliable ssds and its the only brand I trust when it comes to ssds

First time using an SSD hard drive. It was a little difficult getting the drive set-up for a first time user. I went to a online tutorial for setting up SSD drives and it helped out a lot. I use it for my photographs, music, and document storage back-up. I love Samsung products. Anything that is a smart phone, t.v/monitor, security camera or storage device I personally prefer the Samsung brand.

And easy to install with the migration software. Very fast - breathes new life into a Mac.

I have an older PC, so the EVO 870 might not provide better performance, but the EVO 860 measurably out performs my older EVO 850.
