Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

I put this in my 2012 MacBook (unibody, 13”) to replace the hard drive that was super slow in it. This was a perfect fit and was pretty easy to set up. My computer has been really fast and reliable since then (~1 year ago). It’s not as fast as my newer MacBook Pro with a PCIe SSD that came stock but this is ~85% as fast and still more than I’d need for daily use!

I say easy to install with one important deviation. As long as your bios supports it. Mine did not and no bios updates to fix that. I installed it in another PC and it works great.

Laptop running way faster now. Was getting frustrating having to wait for everything to boot up every time I open my laptop. Easy install too. Just install Samsung migration to copy all of your data from your old hard drive to the new one. You will need a SATA 3 to USB 3.0 to connect ssd for migration. Once thats all done just slap your ssd into your laptop and youre golden.

Been using it for2 years now , no issues. I guess thats all you need to know.

It is a good product

I renewed my laptops HDD to this SSD. It significantly reduced boot time at least. All apps start much quicklier too. I have it still for not so long time so I cant say something about a reliability of this drive.

Bought this 860 Evo at a great price to replace my mechanical hdd drives i had for 15 years, very happy this ssd uses less power and i dont have to hear the hum of my hdds any more.

installed last week , cant so for sure regarding the durability though . regarding performance, my previous boot times (Windows Server 2012 R2) on the stock hdd were between 9.5 - 11 minutes . after installing this , the system is ready for anything and everything in under 2 minutes , and that is ABSOLUTELY ASTONISHING

Bought these to replace drives in my two Dell inspiron 15 3000 laptops. One had a failing sata hd and the other just very slow. Put in the ssd drives and its like I have new laptops. Before it would take chrome over a minute to load and now less than 3 sec. Before tried to load Fortenight , took forever to dwnld and the would not run. Now on new drive it runs. The one laptop had a bottom panel to access drive and took about 5 minutes to change, the other laptop did not have panel so I had to take it apart to change out drive, took about an hr. Would highly recommend this drive

Replaced hard drive by this in a 10 year old HP PC. Its now as fast as 6 month old Acer with 250 ssd. (Dont like the Acer much but thats another story.)
