Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

I replaced my ASUS laptops archaic mechanical hard drive with this Samsung SSD (1TB). Let me tell you: the speed difference is ridiculous. My laptops Intel i7 processors and 8 GB ram can now run free and to their full potential. My laptop feels like my iPhone does--instantaneous. I use my laptop for schoolwork, programming, streaming, and minor gaming (Minecraft is the hardest thing I run on it). I really recommend this for anyone who does not have an SSD. If you plan to game, get one of Samsungs higher-rated SSDs.

I installed the SSD in my Dell Inspiron 15 5000. It really sped up my computer along with the 16gb RAM I installed. Boots up extremely fast and now, I have all the extra space I need for storage.

Storage is one of those computing components you dont think about until something goes wrong.

I bought this 1TB Samsung SSD drive after hours and hours of reading reviews and comparing specs for similar drives. I replaced my MacBook Pro original 1TB hard drive with this SSD drive. It made a very big noticeable difference in the overall performance. It is significantly faster to boot up from off as well as from standby. Whereas it took well over 5 minutes to boot up before, ( My laptop was running OS X 10.11 ) now boots up in under a minute.

I just installed this on my Macbook Pro (Late 2011 2.7ghz core i7, 4GBs of RAM.) Im using it as my main drive and using the HDD in place of my Optical drive (There are lots of tutorials online that can teach you how to do this.) For my first time doing a computer hardware upgrade, I found the process to be straightforward and clear. Check out a couple videos to see if youd be comfortable with the process.

Performs well and should last.

3/28/2019 Review for 250GB: My hard drive are slow to load and now it run faster with SSD. I use hard drive caddy to install 2nd drive to use SSD. SATA 3 full speed with caddy. I have no problem to install on my laptop. You must wipe your hard drive before you can boot into SSD with caddy. And it worked perfectly for HP Laptop 15. I am very pleased.

Product was easy to install. Its pretty plug n go, I think the longest process was figuring out placement alongside my other SSD, which is also EVO. CONS: NO CABLES, SCREWS, BRACKETS. Luckily for me this was not an issue.

This is the best sad on the market! My son just got his gaming pc, and he wanted some more speed. This really did the job. He picked it out and said it was faster then he thought. Recommend %100.

Piece of cake to migrate using the Samsung wizard software. Very fast drive indeed! My first 1TB SSD drive. Write times using Atto benchmarks were slightly higher than advertised, but these drives are all very fast. Completely silent and runs cool.
