SENNHEISER HD 660 S - HiRes Audiophile Open Back Headphone

These headphones sound amazing ! The price is great. I run them with a Shure Sha900 dac amp. Streaming music with tidal sounds amazing ! I also use them for gaming and I can pin point footsteps with ease. Best Sennheiser headphones for the price!

Really good headphones. Great clarity, really good details, not recommended if you are looking for a lot of bass.

Sound is amazing, build quality is superb and comfort is perfect. Using them mainly for gaming/music powered by a sound blaster AE-9 soundcard.

Im no audiophile expert with plenty of experience, but I can say that those headphones sound amazing and the imaging is impeccable, highs are far from harsh for me, the middles are perfectly executed and the lows are awesome, although lacking a tiny bit of punch. What makes those headphones perfect for me is that they dont require an amplifier, my DAW has plenty enough juice to power them, so theres no need for additional equipment (amp) introducing noise, distortion and interpretation to your music. The comfort is very good and gets better over time. I can listen to it all day without fatigue due to the reasonable highs, open-back design and comfort.

They sound nice if you dont care about bass. These seem to be built well. The item itself looks extremely high quality. Even though some music genres, podcasts etc sound very good, theres absolutely no bass whatsoever.

Truly sensational sound, just as you would imagine with this pro/luxe brand. Sennheiser is well known for cutting edge sound- be it music or the spoken word.

When I realized that I needed a second set of headphones so I could listen to my vinyl, without bothering anyone else in the house, I looked at Sennheiser first. I had just sold my long time Sennheiser HD-600 and I missed that laid back sound.

They’re worth it.

So out of the box the headphones do clap your face. But after a week it starts to loosing up.

I was in the market to purchase a new set of headphones for my PC and one thing led to another and I ended up with these. I did not know what I was missing. If you have the cash to get these for music, gaming, movies, ASMR or whatever please give these a try. You will not be disappointed.
