SENNHEISER HD 660 S - HiRes Audiophile Open Back Headphone

The size of the cans is just normal, in photos they appear huge because the headband is small in design. These feel tight at first but become comfortable after use. No poly film that will break off with use. Comes with normal and balanced cable! Can use it with some cell phones but headphones amp will work better. Works great on an audio interface headphone jack. My ik multimedia axe i/o 120 ohm headphones output works great. Decent bass definition and detail. Mids are good and highs are defined but not pronounced/prominent. Overall generally flat frequency response i think, still detailed sound. But i feel these are still not super close to the closed back hd380. Good detachable cable, hard box, adapter cable, and balanced cable. I would purchase these again.

Buenos pero por lo que cuestan, las almohadillas están horribles, durísimas, por el precio debieron de ser de memory foam con piel.... pero es tela dura. Ademas aprietan muchísimo. El sonido esta muy bueno

My first open-back headphones and I spent a good deal of time researching them before purchasing. Leaps and bounds better than anything Ive ever owned before. Running it off a Schitt DAC and Amp combo (Magni & Modi).

The hype is real. Best cans I own.

Ill be comparing it to the HD600 which I bought at the same time to try. TLDR: Im keeping the HD600 and returning these.

These are so good. Im not an audiophile. Coming from a pair Audio Technica m50xs Ive been using for 6+ years, those are great headphones but these are on a whole different level. Really great headphones and super comfortable.

Where do you even start with these, theyre as close to perfect as headphones can get. If you look at the frequency response you will see that these are mid-focused cans with no treble peaks and emphasized bass. The overall presentation of the sound is so beautifully balanced they still make my jaw drop every now and then. Since treble is so de-emphasized they will clean up even horribly recorded tracks and make songs that have been masterfully engineered sound even better. They dont have any modern features which people buy headphones for nowadays such as noise-cancelling and bluetooth connectivity so I cannot recommend them for any other purpose than listening, but if youre looking for headphones with no other utility besides presenting music in the most gorgeous way, this is what youre looking for.
