Open backed so you still hear surroundings, if you are looking for noise canceling headphones these arent for you but if you want great sounding headphones these are perfect

> 3 dayFirstly, I gave them 1 star for noise cancelation as they’re open back... not sure why thats a category for a review for this kind of headphone. Id like to say I’m not an audiophile and I dont have high end audio set up. I use these with my little dot mk3 headphone amp.

> 3 dayBought these to hook up to my Fluance turntable through the Schiit Valhalla. Once I had all the settings dialed in, these sounded fantastic. Couldnt be happier with the sound quality for the price.

> 3 dayBurned in for 1 week. Using this product for 2.1 music listening. These headphones are a little and I mean a little veiled and sibulent. You can hear every bit of music that is a a available on sound tracks being played. Not bassy headphones but they do have bass and are very impressive with the mod that i corporated. The mid range and highs are now superb. With a sound stage forward, rear and side to side. Using an AUNE X7S with a NAD DAC 2 Wireless and Dell laptop running tidal at 24/96. I have heard more music then ever before in my library. The 660s pull you in. Some times I turn my head to make sure its not an outside noise. They do have a good clamp on your head but it can be lessend by pulling the phone extender out all the way and bending the metal slider. BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO BEND OUTWARDS TOO FAR or HARD AS THEY MAY BREAK. One hand on the phone bracket and other on the metal piece that comes out of the head band and use your thumbs to apply pressure on the bend in the metal band. Still debating whether I sell my 600s As the sound is a little more rich. Will update when finished testing and final choice. Waiting Dekoni hybrids ear pads as the defaults are a little hard for my liking. I have not heard planar mgnetics or eletrostatics but the 660s make me want to put them on and relax when Im home from work and rock out when feeling up. They are an excellent all round headphone and play all genres of music. Do your research. Good luck and remember everyone hears differently. Find your sound?. Oh the metal screen did pop out of the plastic molding when I tried to take the back off. Make sure you poke the plastic through the small holes on the driver side and not the metal, if you want to take the back plate off.

> 3 dayAbsolutely love these, I also own the Massdrop HD6xx and I would absolutely chose the HD660S over the 6xx. Using it with my Audio-GD NFB11.28

> 3 dayWhen I realized that I needed a second set of headphones so I could listen to my vinyl, without bothering anyone else in the house, I looked at Sennheiser first. I had just sold my long time Sennheiser HD-600 and I missed that laid back sound.

20-11-2024Great headphone for EVERYTHING. (GAMING, MOVIES, MUSIC,PRON :v)even if the media source has bad quality, they would make them sound incredible, melt your ears for once in your life. Definitely try 24 bit flac files for best results.

> 3 dayI love these headphones. sound very clear and crisp. vocal is very close as if the singer is singing right next to me. I also like that it has relatively low impedance (150ohms) compared to HD600 or HD6XXs 300ohm impedance. an amp is a plus but you dont have to have it. its loud enough when directly connected to a mobile device or your PC. I also own HD6XX for that one I definitely need an amp.
