for the price they dont offer a significant improvement over the hd600, save your money and invest in the superior HD800 or HD800s as your end game headphones

I currently have the HD 599s and decided to upgrade to the 660s. I can assure you, there is almost NO difference between the two. The bass is lightyears better on the 599s while the mids are maybe 5% better on the 660s. For the extra $300....i have no idea where the improvements are..

If you are looking for noise cancellation then this is not the headphone youll want to buy However if sound is your preference then this is the right product

This is my second purchase of Sennheiser sound muffs.

This headphone is good, but not a great buy compared to Sennheisers own HD 600/650/6xx series.

This is the best headset Ive ever owned, it is worth every penny.

having the option of the balanced 4.4mm was great. could be a placebo, but on my ifi hipdac it sounds better than using the 6.35mm jack with the 3.5mm adapter

Noise cancellation- yup, he can’t hear me when I yell up the stairs. Perhaps a little too well.

So off the bat, they sound better than the HiFiMan Sundaras i have but only in the low end. Planars sound great on vocals/high hats, so maybe a bit better in the highs. They are 150 ohm so kind of easy to drive BUT youd benefit from a dedicated headphone amp. the actual feel is very nice and comfy, weight is very light overall good build. kinda a mix between true open and closed back headphones, its odd at first but nice after awhile. EDIT: I have been listening to them for about 2 hrs, they are super light and comfortable compared to the other headphones and headsets i have used.... Happy buyer
