Greater than one weekSimply put, this model kind of represents Sennheiser sound reproduction: natural, crispy with a bit underwhelming bass.

> 3 dayI was blown away right out of the box. I plugged these in with the stock 1/4 in cable into my Schiit Jotunheim (with AK4490 DAC module) and the clarity is amazing. Not a lot on the low end yet, but that will likely change as I use them and the drivers work themselves in. Im not having an issue with the clamp strength of the headphones, and I have a rather large head so do not let that alone dissuade you. I ordered a custom cable from Periapt terminated in 4-pin XLR, but it hasnt come in yet. Ill update this review with my experience using the XLR instead of the standard 1/4 in cable.

> 3 dayThese headphones were on sale, and it seem like such a great deal but unfortunately if you have any kind of mic around the air cups, especially when you talk into it, you’ll get significant hissing and ear piercing feedback. I try them with normal audio and they actually sound amazing, especially with a Hi-Rez interface. Again if you were using this to listen to yourself while podcasting or doing vocals or anything like that, this will not work for you. I’ve tried it on the Rodecaster, pro two, TC, helicon voice, live three extreme, and no matter what I try, I still get the same results .

> 3 dayIm coming from a set of Beyerdynamic dt990pros, which are apparently notorious for being too harsh in the high-end so I was a bit disappointed in the lack of high end clarity... At first. Since using them as my primary set for a while, Im understanding why folks think that, and they sound more natural than they did at first, though the dt990s still feel like home to me.

> 3 dayEasy to wear for hours. Don’t feel like they clamp my head too hard. Ear cups don’t get hot or uncomfortable. They are light, but don’t feel cheap, you could almost forget you are wearing them. Sound is ridiculously good even with the simple magni modi combo from schitt I purchased.

> 3 dayComfortable. Good sound, but not 4x better than my Audio Technica M50x, or even M40x. I understand the audiophile, you always wonder if you’re missing out on better sound. You think paying more will get you there. Not always.

Greater than one weekGood sound from out of the box. I would definitely recommend to get a dac if you are looking for a louder/ refined sound.
