> 3 dayThis vacuum replaced a 5 year old, heavier and unmaneuverabe Hoover Linx. The Linx was not powerful and the small filter sponge required nearly daily rinsing. This Shark is light years better and everything they advertise and more. The light on the front is indespensible, the vacuum will move in any direction quickly and easily and it will vacuum more dirt off your floors than you ever knew you had! It is lightweight for its power and is easy to change attachments and disassembling it for rinsing out the unit every now and again is easy. Removing the battery and putting it back on it a breeze. I got the vacuum that was sold with an extra battery so I dont have to wait for recharging. We have hardwoods, rugs and tile and it will go over all these without loosing power or stopping. Thanks Shark.

> 3 dayWeve had this for a few months now and were very happy with our purchase of this vacuum. We purchased it to be our downstairs (hardwood mostly) vacuum since we have pets and need to vacuum that area very regularly. With a full charge it does the entire downstairs and the canister is big so I only need to dump it once, twice max if its shedding season. I also use it on our sofa and it does a great job, but its not great for baseboards, a duster works better and then we vacuum after. Overall were quite happy and hope it keeps working this well for many years to come.

> 3 dayI did a ton of research before replacing my dyson stick vacuum which I started having battery issues with. I was drawn to this vacuum because of the rave reviews of the suction power (everyone is right about that) and the removable and easily replaceable batteries. The batteries last a long time and I have two so I don’t have to worry about running out of charge before I finish vacuuming everything. I use this as my sole vacuum for my 1400 sq/ft house and it’s perfect. We have mostly LVP with some area rugs and tile. I didn’t expect to like the attachments so much. The one for dusting is my favorite. I never knew I needed it or wanted it. The only thing I don’t like is how the wand bends, I don’t really use the feature, but the problem I have is that it makes the stick part feel less sturdy. I’d prefer just a regular stick without the bend in the middle.

> 3 dayWe originally bought this vacuum last year because I needed something for hard floors and carpeted stairs without a cord after my Electrolux vacuum motorhead busted. I had read good reviews on the Shark VERTEX and after meticulously researching what I need, durability vs. what I can afford we decided on this vacuum. We are a family of 4 relatively messy people, including a toddler so I vacuum daily and need something with good suction power. We have no pets so at the time, pet hair was not an issue. Fast forward a year when we were forced to move and our housing circumstances changed, we are in a house with mostly tile but with carpeted bedrooms and no stairs. We also have three cars so being able to vacuum them easily is a must. let me first start off my telling you what this vacuum isnt! THE CONS: It lacks suction power for basic automobile use. The attachments that it came with dont provide a good angle in small spaces making it really difficult to use. This vacuum requires a bit of maintenece and the Shark fins are NOT durable. Like I mentioned before I have two messy kids so as you can imagine I find all kinds of things on the floor and this vacuum is not up to task for larger objects such as Cotton swabs, Crayons etc...they get caught under the brush-roll and have ripped up the shark fins. I realize this is a wareable feature and is not covered under warranty, but with how easily they fell apart, SHARK needs to work on that for future models. It does pick up a lot of fine dust, but since we moved into a house that the previous family had a DOG, I find myself even almost 6 months later still filling the dust cup when I vacuum the carpet with copious amounts of dog hair and dander. THIS is what made me decide to go back to a full sized vacuum. We bought a SHARK ZU782 and with the amount that this vacuum has picked up over the last day since we bought it, Ive decided my voice needs to be heard loud and clear. The Shark VERTEX cordless is NOT capable of the deep cleaning that carpet needs. It actually makes your carpets look worse compared to a full sized vacuum. Its only capable on hard floors, nothing more. OK SO the PLUSES or the PROs: It has a good battery life for a cordless. I am able to vacuum about 1,000 square feet of hard floor before it dies. It has met my needs in this way for both houses. Portable, easily storable and compact. It can easily be kept in a closet or small space if needed. It sure can take a beating. Its fallen on the floor a multitude of times and nothing has broken or cracked on this machine. Dust filters are easily washable (buy a second set if you need something readily available while the other two are drying) It has a closed system. Important for people that suffer from allergies including myself! It does a good job on hard floors, does not spray crumbs everywhere like other vacuums! SO all in all I gave this vacuum 3 stars, but ultimately this vacuum is going into the closet as a backup vac. We switched back to a full sized SHARK DUOCLEAN and are so far happier with its cleaning capabilities.

> 3 daySkip to bottom for breakdown on pros and cons. Overall good suctions. Just misleading on some things like battery life and bristles. So that’s why I’m only giving it 4 stars since it’s a nearly $300 vacuum. Suction seems overall really good as of now, but does have bristles (that was a big thing for me for the hardwood floors), and battery life only runs for around 20 minutes when using it as a vacuum, it only lasts (via the manual) for 40 minutes when using it handheld. UPDATE: I vacuumed my whole house (all hardwoods & is roughly 1500 sq ft) without the battery dying. So that definitely was a good thing. Satisfied with that! Also hook your crevice tool, or other tools to the part that attaches to the head, and Bam you have a long crevice tool that can get pretty much anywhere! I received the vacuum today, and I will update review as I go if I need to. First impression was the box was simple. Looked very generic, and I wished it had an actual name instead of just model number. I also thought it would only have powerfins and no bristles since that’s how it’s pictured and advertised. IT HAS BRISTLES. They feel soft, and I’m watching how they do on my LVP flooring but that’s very misleading because I thought it was going to be just a soft silicone fin. I’m scared it’s going to scratch my flooring. It’s overall very light, and nice sleek look to it. I used it as soon as I got it for about 10 minutes on the LVP flooring I have. It sucked up pet hair and dirt that I couldn’t even see. Worked great. I’m very satisfied with the suction so far. I did plug it in to charge after it died (before the initial charge), and it has now been 2 hours and it still isn’t fully charged. I do wish it had quicker charging. So I decided to glance through the manual to make sure I’m doing everything right. In the manual, it states with hand vac it works for up to 40 minutes, but only 25 mins on bare floor, and only 20 mins during carpet mode. If you’re using the boost (it has a boost button which is nice) vac with handheld it only works for 10 minutes on a full battery. So I would say it would only last in boost mode for about 12 minutes on bare floors, and probably less on carpet since it’s half the time almost from the hand vac times. I do wished the battery life was longer, and it’s misleading when it says the vacuum lasts around 40 minutes on a full battery. I knew it wouldn’t always last 40 minutes with different modes and flooring, but I didn’t think using the actual vacuum in standard mode on hardwoods would cut that time in almost half, to 25 minutes. Disappointed in that. I do like the design, the boost button (hate how much time it cuts off the run time before the battery dies), and I think it does a good job overall with suction this far. I also love the LED lights. I think it’s a pretty good vacuum. Wished it would come with two batteries so you could charge one and have a backup. I have an almost 1500 square foot house with all LVP flooring & a dog that sheds. So I will definitely be testing this out over the next days to get accurate timing myself. Breakdown is — Pros: 1. The style/design is sleek 2. Easy empty container 3. Boost mode button 4. Powerfins (it does have bristles though. Pics are misleading) 5. Good suction this far 6. LED lights 7. Can change battery out (only comes with 1 though) 8. Pretty easy and convenient storage Cons: 1. Battery life (states 40 mins but that’s for hand vac, only 25 mins for bare floor and 20 carpets) 2. Charging time — it’s been over 2 hours and it still isn’t fully charged. 3. Has bristles, does have powerfins — but pictures makes it look like it doesn’t have bristles and only has powerfins. It has both. This was one of the main reasonings I ordered this one was because I felt like it was safer on my flooring. 4. No “name” — just a model number. And the packaging looks generic. Not like an almost $300 vacuum. Came in a cardboard box, with the vacuum inside a plain white box.

> 3 dayOne of the best purchases I ever made! Wasn’t sure I needed the feature where the handle flattens out so you can go under things easily or the LED lights but I love both! I love the way the vacuum head is much smaller than a traditional vacuum because between that and being able to easily lay the handle flat you can get under just about anything! No more dust under the kitchen chairs. I can get all the way to the wall. No more broom and dustpan for sweeping the kitchen floor every night! The one thing I wondered about is how well does it edge? It does a great job! Love the roller brush. No more spitting things out. It also picks up larger pieces of things easily. My old vac I would have to stop and use the hose because my old vac just pushed it around. This one picks it right up. I did decide to get an extra battery just in case I ever need it. I vacuum my 1,500 square feet apartment and have never run out of battery. I really haven’t seen a negative yet. In my opinion. The extra features really are worth spending the extra money. I am so pleased with my purchase!

> 3 dayLove the ease of using this - wish I had bought one a long time ago! Because its a Shark, I know that its doing a great job! I feel like my house is SO MUCH CLEANER with this around - easy to grab and go for a quick touch up. Love that I can transition from hard floor to low carpet with switching a button and you can hear and see the power it has! Love the light on the front - helps me see what Im cleaning up! The broom and dustpan ARE GONE! I realize now how much dirt and dust and dog hair they were leaving behind. (yuck the first time I used the Shark and the light showed me all that - AND I CLEAN, but it didnt look like it THAT day.) 10 stars for me!

> 3 dayThis vacuum isnt perfect but performed well beyond my expectations. Its a million times better than my Dyson cordless. My only complaints/ cons are the battery life and lack of accessory storage. If you plan to use it on carpet, spend the extra money on a second battery. No static shock at all for me. The biggest complaint I read on here is static shock. I vacuumed my large carpeted bedroom twice with no issues. I even intentionally didnt touch the grounding bar on the handle with no shock at all. On the carpet setting and high suction, one pass in my large bedroom quickly brought the battery to 60%. I was able to do a second pass on the carpet, my large bathroom and stairs, both hard surfaces, all on high with a single battery. I was surprised to see how much power was lost on the carpet but my Dyson never worked on carpet at all even though it came with a carpet/ brush roller attachment. With only one carpeted room in my house, this will replace my traditional corded vacuum too. The two batteries are enough to do my entire 1500 sqft house with the suction on high and a single attachment for both carpet and hard surfaces. The hair free brush roller is a life saver! After two passes on the carpet, there were only a few of my wives hairs wrapped around the roller which were easily pulled off by hand. No more scissors to the brushes to cut half a head of hair off the rolled every other week. It would be nice to have a wall mount charger with tool storage like my Dyson has but its worth the trade off for a cordless vacuum that actually works. The Shark also has one handed tool change with the release button on the tool itself. Unlike the Dyson that requires both hands with the button being on the vacuum.

> 3 dayGreat suction, easy to use and get under furniture. Easy to clean the dirt cup; however, sometimes the hepa filter falls out when removing the cup. Does well with Golden Retriever hair, except on our short/tight weave rug where hair gets trapped more securely. Overall, this is a great vacuum. Biggest concern is finding replacement roller and duoclean powerfins for this model. I cant find anything specific to this model iz462h.
