20-11-2024I have used this stick vac every day since receiving it and I really, really like it. Very good value for the money. The functionality where you can break the stick in two to vacuum under furniture is so simple to use and a complete revelation. Where have you been all my life?! I use this feature all the time and absolutely love it. I also like the exceptional maneuverability of the vacuum head and the very bright LED headlights, features I didnt even know I wanted but also love. It will literally move around in a circle from a static position. You can use the break in half feature to store it upright but bent over itself so its not necessary to lean it up against a wall. It does not come with a dock or any kind of storage mounting system. Another of the really nice things is that the top part breaks off to become a hand vac but, not only that, all the accessory tools can plug into the hand vac, including the power head, which is a premium feature I was looking for. This is very handy for vacuuming the couch or a bed and seems to be a unique feature as I didnt find it elsewhere. On the down side, I would say that the unit is a bit top heavy, which gives me the feeling that it could give you tennis elbow pretty fast if you had a second battery to extend the time you can use it. I am happy with the battery life. On the fastest non-turbo speed it cleans a combo of hard and carpet surfaces for around 20 minutes. This unit is not for deep cleaning but has enough suction to pick up Cheerios and dog kibbles as well as all the dust bunnies and pet hair on your solid surface floors. It gets my long hairs up off of the carpet, as well. It is IDEAL for day to day cleaning that keeps your house looking nice and makes big cleaning days far less work. Bravo, Shark!

22-11-2024This is my first cordless and so far it’s great! Takes some patience learning how to set up and clean. A little more expensive than I expected but I’ve been waiting for the chance to get a hair free roller and a longer run battery and this beauty delivers.

> 3 dayThe middle bendy part breaks easily. Replaced by customer service and breaks again. It can handle being used. We just duck taped it and use it without bending anymore.

> 3 dayWeve had this for a few months now and were very happy with our purchase of this vacuum. We purchased it to be our downstairs (hardwood mostly) vacuum since we have pets and need to vacuum that area very regularly. With a full charge it does the entire downstairs and the canister is big so I only need to dump it once, twice max if its shedding season. I also use it on our sofa and it does a great job, but its not great for baseboards, a duster works better and then we vacuum after. Overall were quite happy and hope it keeps working this well for many years to come.

Greater than one weekI wanted to get a cordless vacuum for my husband who has Rheumatoid Arthritis and wants to help but struggles with the large vacuum. I was lucky enough to score a Prime Day deal on this so I didnt feel bad about investing in it. I do feel that it is worth full price though. This is pretty light and very easy to use. I can vacuum the kitchen, bathroom, front door area, laundry room and area rugs ( my entire downstairs) in about 5 to 10 minutes tops and I have a large house. The first time I ran it across the carpet it lifted so much junk out that my large vacuum just wasnt picking up. This is SO easy to use on our stairs. It is light enough to carry up and down the stairs with no struggle too. The extra battery is so helpful. Id hate to run out of juice mid cleaning. My only complaint is that you have to fold it up to store it every time you stop using it. I would rather leave it upright but its top heavy. Still that is a minor inconvenience really.

> 3 dayI was worried this wouldnt have as much suction as my old Kenmore canister. Was I surprised to find it had more! It handles everything I throw at it. We moved to a home with hardwood floors and the old canister wasnt a good fit, the bristles would have scratched the floor. The floor setting is a soft roller that gently propels the dirt into the dust collection chamber. It has a microburst trigger on the handle that you can pull to get an extra power burst to suck up hard to reach places. It is a bit top heavy, so i can see where someone with mobility issues might struggle but i dont mind as that is why the motor is so powerful. Also the swivel range of the vacuum head is great! I am very pleased with this purchase.

> 3 dayIm really happy with my purchase! Ive only run the battery out once. Today. I hadnt vacuumed for a couple of weeks and I ran it on high almost the whole time, but I did get finished and had to empty the canister twice. Yeah, that dirty! My 2 daughters have Dysons. Until I bought a Shark Navigator, almost everything that blows or sucks in the house is a Dyson. I like my Shark better than theirs and it cost half as much. Theirs has no light shining on the floor ahead of you and believe me, you cant get stuff you cant see swept up! Also, with this you see clear tracks on the floor where the dust is now missing. Not just the dirt! It is amazing and I didnt want the light! The Dysons are quieter but they dont have a carpet cleaning setting. Turning on the carpet roller makes it noisier. I really like having the trigger to pull that makes the suction stronger. I use it about half the time...except today after having neglected cleaning for a couple of weeks. My dog sheds like crazy and it does the job pretty well. I do choose to vacuum the carpets every other week with the Navigator. It lifts the carpet nap better and gets up a bit more out of the nap. The stick does clean it well to the eye. Suction - my Shark picks up a lot of things on the floor that the Dysons cant; like leaves and dog kibble. It keeps pulling up all kinds of stuff until it just quits and then you know the battery has run out. Only twice since I bought it in November 2021. The front sponge roller popped out when I was using it today. Never before. It had picked up a corner of a rug. I cleaned out the area that holds it and put it right back in without having to look up how. Really nice! Its great! I am really happy! 6 months ago - Get one of these great cleaners while they are offering discounts! This quite surpassed my expectations for cleaning. The Vertex technology of having a solid, soft roller in front is amazing at cleaning, even the DUST off of my hard surfaces! I thought I wanted to be able to turn off the front headlights, but NO! I love seeing the absolutely dust-free/furless paths I am leaving on my floors. You need to do an internet search for reviews on Vertex! Thats what sold me! I am the daddy of a canine shedding machine and I am disabled with walking and balance issues. I am so glad Ill be able to vacuum as often as I want to. I am the owner of a Shark Navigator that sucks rugs off the floor. This isnt that powerful but I am really satisfied! It got my rugs clean with one pass. And my hard floors are sparkling clean! I was a bit scared about the weight of this vacuum because of my disability. You need not be. This is well balanced and although it wont stand up on its own, it will steadily lean on table/counter high surfaces like the back of a chair. Vacuuming for me used to mean fighting a cord wrapping around my cane and my back hurting for days. No more and I felt safe & steady using this vacuum. Do NOT be scared away by the reviews about static shocks! I used it through a full charge 3 times yesterday without a hint of static shock. It held a charge for at least 40 minutes while having the carpet roller operating about half the time. I am pleased with how long the charge lasts and how quickly it recharged. The cleaning head goes easily under the furniture that I kept a dust mop for. That suckers out of my way now! My model comes with 3 tools; a crevice tool, a multi-angle duster, and a pet upholstery tool that is converts from a 4 brush to a flat fuzzy tool. The motor assembly is easy to detach to use these tools. I am pleased to have the HEPA filtration but it wasnt a feature I felt I needed. I used it on carpet setting a bunch but VERY seldom used the boost suction mode, which does need to be constantly held on with your finger. But you wont be needing it except for bad spot cleaning! This picked up multiple leaves that were on my floors from heavy holiday traffic. I was pleasantly surprised. My upright only gets about half of them. I have multiple Dyson products in my house and a Dyson vacuum in the basement that after 4 years broke and wont switch from hose to floor. When I got my Shark upright Navigator I was blown away with the increased suction that seemed twice the Dyson. So, when I shopped for a cordless stick vacuum I didnt heed my daughters encouragement that I follow them back into Dyson world with this and went straight to Shark! I am really glad to have the 5 year warranty on the vacuum and 2 year on the REPLACABLE battery! Dont spend hundreds of dollars on a vacuum that doesnt have a removable/replaceable battery! Ill admit that after my Dyson experience I did buy the $35 extended warranty for peace of mind. I found two con issues but they were definitely not deal breakers! If you do some heavy cleaning you will have to reach into the dust cup and remove the wad of debris that wraps around the metal mesh post. I noticed some hair wrapped around the back beater-bar and when I turned over the cleaning head to easily open the cover to the bar, I found a bunch of dog hair on the brush bars that catch any errant fur. It was easy to pull off with my fingers. I would never bother to do that regularly. I just noticed it when I was getting my daughter-in-laws really long hair unwrapped from the bar. That will only be a holiday experience. Ill update this in a few weeks, but I wanted to encourage you to take advantage of the discounts being offered. I am so very happy I got this vacuum now!

> 3 dayWe have a three level house, and previously had two plug-in uprights stored in our carpeted basement and carpeted upper level respectively, and had to haul one of them either up or down to clean the main level, which is all hardwoods except for a carpeted main level guest suite (which I use as my office) and a few area rugs. We adopted a rescue pup who stays on the main level, so we needed something more convenient that could handle her hair and tracked dirt along with food debris in the kitchen across the hardwoods, area rugs and the one carpeted room, while preferably lasting long enough to cover the entire ~1850sqft main level in one go. After a lot of research, I chose the Vertex Duo. When I first received the vacuum I tested it out through the entire main level. Not only did the vacuum last the entire level, but it still had a solid power bar remaining. I didnt realize how dusty our hardwoods were!!! Halfway through vacuuming, I noticed in the foyer that what I had vacuumed was glossy, while the floor ahead of me was almost matte!! The light on the front of the vacuum is excellent as well for showing dust and debris which are otherwise difficult to see! Ive been using the Duo regularly for a few months now and it has been a blessing (and is actually fun to use). I keep it on hardwood setting with regular suction over our hardwoods and smaller rugs / runners, only occasionally having to pull the turbo trigger, and it does a wonderful job. I use it on the carpet setting across larger 6x8 and 7x10 area rugs and in my office, and have never had to use the turbo function for it to get everything! Every once in a while I have to go over a string the dog pulled off her tug toy or similar a couple times, but the vacuum always gets it and never tangles. It leaves a clean floor with nice vacuum lines in my office as well. I can often track where my 8yo son has been by following the crumb trail - the Duo excels at making those trails disappear as well! Im 62, so I love being able to unlock and flex the vacuum to get under couches, tables, desks and such without bending over / messing up my back! Ive also used all the tips as well! The anti-allergen tip is awesome for our TV, tables, blinds, fans, etc... It swivels so you can get both above and below fan blades! The brush is great for furniture, air registers / returns, etc... The brush unclips to expose the pet muli-tool which I have only used a couple times since our dog isnt allowed on furniture, but it did well pulling various fibers off, so Id assume it would do well with pet hair as well. The handheld portion is light weight, and the edging tool does great on baseboards, corners, cars, etc... I couldnt be happier with this vacuum - it does everything I hoped it would and more, and offers a huge bang for the buck! Im not joking when I said its actually fun to use - I find myself vacuuming more now than ever (and not just because we have a dog)...

> 3 dayPro: Battery life is long enough to vac 14ft X 70ft (980 square feet) moble home. It takes up little space to store in a closet. I vacuum every few weeks and owed vac for 6 months. The inner filter looks brand new! The prep filters absorbs just about everything. I keep my dog trimmed. The vac picks up all trimmed hair. (Sorry I cant evaluate long matted pet hair due to shedding in carpets and sofas.) The power burst feature is a smart idea. It will pick small debris that regular setting missses. You pull a trigger to increase and decrease suction as needed. Battery can be detached and charged separately from unit. You can purchase extra batteries and have them changed in advance of use. It comes with the normal frequently used attachments. You can purchase other attachments separately from shark. Lights do help in darker spaces. The canister is larger than most stick vacs, but I do have to empty during a single use. I didnt buy this as a supplemental vac to an upright. I bought this instead of an upright. Con: The hardwood floor feature is useless. It doesnt pick up hardly anything. Use the carpet setting on hardwood and you will be fine. Paying $50 more to get 10 mins of extra run time is stupid. Buy and extra battery for $63. The attachments and stick are D shapped. If you want more attachments, you are basically forced to buy from shark due to shape. There is less suction than a normal upright, but to be fair it is good enough.

> 3 dayI love this vacuum! My Dyson died and I replaced it with this vacuum. I’m happy to report it’s much, much better than the Dyson. I don’t think the suction is quite as powerful, but the unique roller design well makes up for it. I will say it’s much heavier, but it doesn’t bother me. The self-standing base is awesome (anyone else had a stick vacuum fall over in the middle of the night?!). I have little kids so I’m constantly vacuuming up crumbs, cereal, you name it. This vacuum has no problem picking it all up! Bonus, you can easily take off the stick mid vacuum and change it into a handheld. We also have a large hairy dog and so far the self-cleaning bristles work wonderfully. It’s also quiet! Or at least way quieter than my Dyson was. No problem vacuuming during nap time. ;)
