What an incredible difference this HDD made to my computer! WOW, from a slow old dog with a 720rpm HDD to a swift gazelle. No task causes slow downs anymore. Computer now handles Photoshop easily and seamlessly cuts through any task. Boot up time decreased from about 3mins to under 30 seconds. Very very happy, Upgrading was very simple and even the HDD cloning process was simple and error free with a free online utility. Whole process from opening up the desktop tower to plugging all the cables back in with a fully refreshed and cloned HDD was about 60-90mins. Awesome

Stupid fast! Stupid cheap! Get it!! ***Remember kids, to PROPERLY test your m.2 in CrystalDiskMark, You HAVE to click on Settings and select NVMe SSD! If you dont its going to treat it like an SDD, not an SSD! If you are getting low 2000s thats probably your problem.

Best price to TB/performance of the lot. Quite happy with it, not getting spec 3000+ read and write. Macrium Reflect copies slower to same drive than it does to 500mbps Samsung 840 Pro SSD. Copying files to itself however is lightning fast. So far, for gaming and most applications, you wont see any real world performance difference between this and a SATA 3.0 500mb SSD. Once you have a few of these, coping files between drives is much faster, as is hashing and re-checking things such as torrents. No complaints!

Like the price the Read speed is good 544 mb/s the write is a little slow in the 300 mb/s. I worry the life is going to be much shorter than my Western Digital SSD 500 sata.

Ive been using it as my main drive for the last 3 years without any issues, can recommend and its great value for money compared to other options on the market.

Silicon Power 2TB NVMe M.2 PCIe Gen3x4 2280 SSD R/W up to 3,400/3,000MB/s (SU002TBP34A80M28AB) I grabbed this for $79, needed a cheap 2nd 2TB drive for games and thought why not grab this one, it had dram and was tlc. Apparently these models have had their component swapped which mean they wont run at rated speed, which is fine for my use case... -BUT these run EXTREMELY HOT! I attached an image of a crystal disk benchmark along with HWinfo to show the temps, Ive never owned a drive that ran this hot before! Even at 3.0 speeds these run hotter than my 4.0 nvme, this 3.0 drive hit over 85c on sustain writes(moving steam game library from main drive over to this drive)! At idle it ran in the high 40s. I would AVOID these drives if you want to run it as a main boot drive. This drive will definitely not last as a boot drive having files written to it constantly. My fanxia cheap drive runs cooler than this. I am ordering a heatsink(no fan, but has copper heat pipe) to try and get these temps down, but i honestly dont know how well it will help since this drive is hitting 80c bare bone already. Will try to remember to update this review when it comes in. Positive: +Cheep +dram/tlc Negative: -Overheats -Wont last as long -Have to spend more money for a heatsink to try to fix this problem Avoid if this is going to be your main drive.

Installed a couple of these in MacBook Airs that I have refurbished. Important to note that 2014/2015 MB Airs will experience a short delay when booting up (15-20 sec). This is because they are not the OEM drive and the EFI needs time to recognize it. Reset the PRAM and in most cases it will shorten the boot-up delay next time around. After the short delay I mentioned, this drive F-L-I-E-S. Very responsive and not sure you could ask for anything faster. I am currently using the 2TB version of this in my MB Air and response it good. NOTE: If using in a Mac, you need an MVmE adapter to use it. Spend another $9 and get a decent one, not the cheapies. Have beenusing mine for 6 mos now with zero issues.

This is a good 1TB NVMe SSD. It has, of course, 1TB space and reads really fast, however, the write speeds vary from very fast to rather slow, depending on the test/bench marks. It is cheaper than the Samsung 970 EVO or WD Black NVMe SSD, but,..both of those perform better consistently at their rated read/write speeds. So, for about $20.00 more, Id go with the Samsung or WD Black for overall, consistent performance. Sorry Silicon Power. I got 2 of these on sale, (a really great deal) for my sons new laptop that came with a POS 128 GB, slug NVMe SSD, which btw, had 60 GB reserved for OS and bloatware. (REALLY..1/2 of the space was reserved and the partition was inaccessible for sizing. Sorry..off topic) So it was a great deal and they do function very well, just not consistently at the optimum rated write speed. I havent noticed any real lag or slowdowns due to this though, not yet, so I cant register a legitimate complaint about them. Overall, Im happy with the purchase and function/performance thus far.
