Smart Zone Games Hive Pocket

The game is easy to learn and requires strategy which keeps it interesting. The pieces are a great size, have a nice feel in the hand, and are easy to take along in the included bat. Its rare to find a game that is fun for two people and stays fun after multiple plays; this certainly has that. My only complaint is that it is incredibly hard to get out of the packaging.

Great chess like game. Quick and easy

Our neighbors let us borrowed their game. We enjoyed it so much that we bought our own and when our son came to visit he bought one for himself. Takes a few time playing and watching a video to get the strategy down. It is like chess with insects as each have a unique move that they can make.

This is a super fun game for 2 players! Similar to chess in that each piece has a different move and the goal is to capture the queen bee but more exciting. Highly recommend

This game is fun. Simple to learn, hard to master. There is a surprising amount of strategy and tactics involved and learning how to respond to your opponents moves is fun. The other really nice thing is that this is a game of tiles and comes in a pouch, so it is very very portable and can be played almost anywhere you have a small flat space.

We were looking for a pocket game (that wasnt cards) that we could take with us to play while we were out to eat or waiting for a table. its really fast but challenging enough that you wont get bored.

Hive is a fantastic strategy game, and Id been wanting to pick up a copy for a while. Somebody on BGG convinced me to get the pocket version, and they were right. It has the same high quality pieces, just smaller - but not at all too small, still plenty big enough to handle and better for playing on smaller tables. Also has both the ladybug and mosquito expansions and is cheaper than the full size copy.
