Fun game for two! Were always looking for something that we can play quickly and that we can pack away for a short stay. We take this to my mom-in-laws when staying overnight, since its quick to clean up, but fun for my 11-yr-old and myself.

Really fun game to pass the time. The pieces have a nice heft to them which I appreciated. Not sure I would like the larger sizes pieces from the other version of the game as much.

This game is extremely easy to learn even though it may seem a little daunting due to the amount of insects. It’s just so fluid, and the really helps you learn and it’s just a blast. Also, so incredibly portable. The fact that the pieces themselves are the board makes it perfect for travel. A really fun game with tons of depth.

The main attributes I love about this game over chess are that 1) there is no board, 2) there is a lot more freedom on creating the games territory, or hive. Like chess, each piece type has its unique style of movement. Its even more heady playing with the included Ladybug and Mosquito expansions. However, I want to play with all the expansions and bought the separate Pill-bug expansion pieces. The only drawback I see with this game is the occasional analysis paralysis.

I bought this game to play with my SO whenever we have 15-30 minutes to spare. The pieces feel high quality, and despite being the smaller version, are easy for us to pick up. The included instructions are easy to understand even though we thought they could have used a little more detail (for example, is there a limit to how high you can stack beetles? We still dont know). The game itself has a very simple premise but surprising complexity to the strategy. The first 4 moves set the stage for the game, and its different every time you play. My SO and I have been having lots of fun trying out new strategies. However, the game is prone to snowballing (in our experience) - once one player gets a slight edge, its hard for the other player to come back because theyre forced to play very defensively. Or maybe were just still bad at the game. Either way, were having a blast learning, and are still excited to play after binging over the past several days.

Tons of replayable value! Boyfriend and I enjoyed playing numerous times each week when we meet up, and this definitely entertained us and kept us busy. That aside, this game had clear instructions and a low learning curve. Will definitely recommend to couples looking for a game to kill time with. Furthermore, the game quality is superb- though it is pocket (supposedly a smaller version), the pieces are well constructed and has a good feel to them. The bag included provided a nice way to store the pieces, and I have been religiously carrying it around to meetups in my shoulder bag! Tldr: Good quality play, low learning curve and tons of replayable value. Loved it!

I bring this game with me everywhere I go. Its quick and easy to play but has some strategy to it. I highly recommend this as a great travel game.
