Great game, quick delivery but should have checked that the instructions werent in English

I bought this game as a gift for my ten year old son, and the whole family loves it (including his 8 year old brother). We like that it is a quick game (both to play and to learn), involves strategy, and has an appealing look and feel to the pieces. The only downside is that this is a two player game (like chess or checkers) and so while any two of us are playing, the rest of us have to sit around like vultures waiting to have our turn.

Great family game. Pocket size is perfect size for us, plenty big for play.

The game came in great condition, and the pieces are well made. The reason for the low review is simply for the game mechanics. The winning strategies seem very wonky, and you must calculate precisely. If you like hard-nosed games like that, then you will probably be pleased with this game, but its not everyones style. I myself might get into one day, if I can find someone with patience for it.

This is one of our favorite games. It is so fun and addicting! It also stays fresh and interesting and is a great 2 player game option for couples. I like the travel size because they are still big enough to play with comfortably but are easy to take traveling, to the pool, wherever. Dont hesitate to add this game into your rotation!

The ideal game to toss in a pocket or bag on your way to a family gathering, or for a quick skirmish with a friend. At this point Ive taught four people the game within the last week (individuals of varying ages and with varying levels of interest in board games): all of them understood the rules after one game, and all of them were figuring out more sophisticated strategies by the second or third. The game has a simple concept and a readily grasped set of rules, but also has potential for complex and thoughtful planning and strategy. Regarding the pieces themselves, the tiles are a nice size even for a relatively small table, and the brightly colored insects make each piece instantly recognizable. The set comes with an orange faux suede bag with a black drawstring and clip. My only complaint would be the instructions themselves, which come in a nice glossy pamphlet that has to be folded quite a bit to actually fit in the bag. Otherwise this is an ideal format for the game.

I love that this game takes only a few minutes to play, but requires strategy and has so few pieces. However, it took Several minutes to read through and comprehend the directions and then we had to keep referencing them during the game, but after 2 games we started to get the hang of it. And because the games really don’t take very long ( or they didn’t in our case) we were able to learn the game in one sitting. I look forward to playing it again. I actually bought it because I thought it would be a fun game to play on an upcoming train trip we’re taking. I think it’ll fill at least a half hour of the 16 hour trip. Haha.
