> 3 dayI’ve been using Sony noise canceling headphones for a couple of years, going from XM3 to XM5. The noise cancelling quality is clearly better than Apple and Bose. My XM3 lasted 3 years of almost daily use. But the construction of XM5 looks so fragile that I was concerned from the start. And it broke after just a few months. The part over my right ear broke off from the main thing.

Greater than one weekEver since the MDR-1000xs were released, Sony has been making my favorite noise canceling headphones. These are exceptionally great noise canceling headphones.

> 3 dayI’ve had it for a few months now and it’s one of my most prized possessions. I bought a pair of Bose headphones before this one. I prefer the noise cancellation that Bose has, but I wanted them specifically for listening to music and Sony is where it’s at in that aspect. I love music and it’s a big part of my life. These headphones are perfect!

> 3 dayI think these headphones are incredible! Theyre lightweight, comfortable and I love the material! The sound is great: crisp, smooth and pops! I love the smart features of them pausing and playing depending on whether theyre on or off your head. These are my first headphones where you can connect to 2 devices simultaneously and thats game changing for me. Now for the things that I dont like. I dont like that you cant fold them. I dont know who thought that would be good be idea but I definitely hate that you cant. Volume: Im coming from the XB900N series. Those headphones are like about 3 years old. You can definitely tell that the volume from these are not on par with those. If the volume from the N series produced a level 100 volume than these are are around 90. Maybe its a good thing so people wont hurt their hearing but I do wish they were a little louder. Bass: I know the N series is supposed to produce superior bass but I feel like the bass on these on these are perhaps a tad low. The difference between those 2 is huge. For people who dont care about bass this will not be a big deal but if you love bass perhaps these are not the best for you. Overall great headphones!

> 3 dayI bought these headphones and completely fell in love with them… only until I realized how incompatible they were if you weren’t a android user—so much so, I ended up returning them because of my frustration and fatigue with its interface. If you use Apple products like I do, the headphones features like “360 audio” (which was a huge selling point for me) only works when you download an app for the headphones, and then again only works with certain apps and websites, not all audio like Apple Music or Spotify. I found this to be a huge let down and was even more annoyed I needed these myriad of apps to utilize a huge selling feature of the headphones. Besides the compatibly issue the headphones were amazing: great design, amazing audio, and great battery life yet, ultimately for me it’s overly complicated ways and hoops to jump through as an Apple user is what steered me away here. I instead bought the Apple AirPods Max, equally great sound quality, superior design, and elite performance, plus they are insanely and easily comparable with every thing Apple which was a huge selling point for me. Plus, their “spatial audio” (the same thing as “360 degree audio”) actually works seamlessly, which numerous apps, without jumping through hoops. (Also random tidbit—the Sony headphones get extremely hot and sweaty after you wear them for too long. Apples do not, insanely comfortable and breathable for hours on end).

> 3 dayMost people buy this to enjoy music or for the looks. I bought this to get some peace and quiet. I’m a mom of a 2 year old and every single day we have noise. My husband watches tiktok videos on the loudest volume possible while my son is dancing or singing a song. While I love days like this, I found myself over stimulated. It was getting too frustrating and I researched and these were the best noise cancelling headphones in the market. The people were right. I cannot hear a peep when I put these on and I am able to refresh and charge myself for the more hectic moments. I enjoy a little bit of ASMR every now and then and I feel much better. I’m very happy with my purchase and use them everyday. Battery life is also a plus. So I really enjoy this feature with all the other bonuses like high quality sound, aesthetically pleasing, lightweight, etc. Maybe the only con, is the sweat that gets around the headphones but I live in a hot area and just swipe it with a dry rag and I go on. It’s nothing compared to the benefits I get from it.

Greater than one weekThese are sick. There’s even a app you can customize your settings and how you want specific settings for when your up and active, when someone speaks to you, or if you just sitting down studying. The volume controls are swiping either up or down vertically. To skip songs, it’s horizontal left. They are very comfortable, HOWEVER after certain times after long wear, give or take 5-6 hours they can get a little uncomfortable but I think that’s inevitable. However as a broke college student, these allow me to stay focus while also communicating with my peers. Trust me, they are worth the money.

> 3 dayI want to start off by saying the sound quality is good and the noise cancelling is okay,i honestly do not get all the rave and 5 stars reviews, maybe it’s just me? These feel cheap to me,they are lighweight (which is a plus) but the material makes it feel like $30 walmart headphones.Since we’re on the topic of prices, these are heavily overpriced,i mean are you guys just all filthy rich to spend $400 on these headphones(seeing as they feel cheap) and be okay with it?I wouldn’t pay more than $200 for these headphones (which is what they should be priced at) so yeah i did end up returning them, the main issues being the price and the fact that they feel cheap. Also i found it to be a pain having to connect these to my phone everytime, whenever they were off my head for 5 minutes they’d go into sleep mode which was a pain in the as$ because i’d have to open the app, press the power button,go on my settings and try and reconnect them,i wish they would connect more faster like airpods that connect instantly,so yes these get a 3/5 stars for me
