> 3 dayI have so many sony products. So, when I needs a good headset, I went for sony. I got this expensitve headset through Amazon with promotioned price. But the headset can not do paring with my iphone. I made serveral phone calls with Sony tech support trying to resolve the issue. I even tried to get a new iphone to test it when I was told I did not have curent version iphone software to pair with this headset. But, none of these suggestions worked, so I ended up going to near-by Best Buy to have them giving me physical check with this new new headset and got resonese was this heasset was factory defective that I should contact with Sony for a repacement since I did not even have a chance to try it out. It took me over 2 weeks to receive a new replaced headset. Then again, this one gets even worse becuase it can not be powered. After talking to Sony tech support, they allowed me to do anyother return for 2nd replacement. After one and half month troubleshooting that I can not even hear a sound or song from this model of Sony headset, I was fed up but either the seller or Amazon could help me out and I was told that I have to deal with Sony from now on because purchase return period was expired. I dont know whatelse I can do at this point. I DON NOT RECOMMEND THIS HEADSET TO ANYONE even this model has so many excellent reviews unless you are very lucky--I had two new product and none of them was working. Plus, return your electronic product to Amazon right away when you find a prolbem with it. Dont try to figure out to fix the probem yourself.

> 3 dayBOSEs QC45 noise cancellation is better than SONYs, I can still hear the noise of children, but I cant hear it at all when I wear BOSEs QC45, but the sound quality of the headphones is very good.Ill keep it because I need a wired headset.

Greater than one weekI have had these for a month and they cannot play a full song without shutting off. I have disabled the auto off function and still, at times they can play for a matter of seconds before shutting off. This is my second bad experience with Sony. I will never recommend these or any other Sony device to anyone. For $400 they should be able to play uninterrupted for hours. What a waste.

> 3 dayI love these. wear the hey fit great. One thing is they can get a little loose if they keep getting adjusted in and out a lot but its barley noticable.

> 3 dayThese are a great pair of headphones that have incredible noises canceling. The base on these are not the best. An equalizer is recommended if you plan on making these your daily driver for listening to music.

> 3 dayCumbersome when compared to other noise cancelling headphones as well as HUGE case. The WH-1000XM4 case is very slim, sleek, and compact - something easily carried on a plane where one would expect to use it most. The WH-1000XM5 case is BULKY, oddly shaped, and definitely not something that can be easily carried on a plane and utilized. The main reason for this is that the headphones dont fold like the XM4s do which is a HUGE disadvantage in my opinion. I personally dont care for the on/off button either. Many other higher-end noise cancelling headphones utilize the tilting headphone as the on/off activation which is easy, efficient, and preserves the battery. And an app ... why on earth does one need an APP in order to use the headphones. The only thing these headphones really have going for them is their noise cancelling ability and battery life are good. The negatives far outweigh the positives for the XM5s. Save your money and buy the XM4s or even another brand if truly looking for an exceptional set of headphones as these definitely are not in my humble opinion.

> 3 dayThey feel cheap and the ear pieces don’t feel that comfortable. The head piece is a bit uncomfortable after a bit of time. I don’t like having to long hold a power button. These should auto detect. I got these for my pc because air pod max and windows don’t play feature complete. Compare this product to air pod max and max stand and it doesn’t come close. So I wish this product was more comfortable, had now power switch, and had a dock with magnetic charging.

18-11-2024I loved my MX3s. I still have them and when I got the MX5s I tested them. The equalizer and sound is better. The ANC, though? No. Its not great at all, and the app does not help make it any easier--like all of Sonys stuff, they overdo the app and make it hard to easily use, tiny buttons, and slow slow slow response on my iPhone 14 pro. The worst part is the case and lack of foldability. While I love how light these are, they dont fold like my MX3, making them bulky and hard to pack. I will not use the case it weighs almost as much as the headphones. Why they dont fold is beyond me and poor design. While I love the pause when you take them off, if you wear them around your neck theyll restart again immediately and the touch buttons are too sensitive and do the same thing. I was willing to live with them until I tried a friends Airpod Max. While those are way pricier, Im sold on those--way more comfy and the sound is better, plus they fold. I was hoping for much better for these, but not it. The reviews with all the audiophiles gushing over the ANC are horsehockey--simply not that great. The bulkiness and the poor app design (an ongoing reason Sony lost the phone and electronics battle) dont help, either.
