> 3 dayWhat a game. Easy to learn but challenging to win. You have to buy a card so that you can get another card to get another card. And if you are kucky you may pick up another card. The game is ver well made. The coins (which are ruby, diamonds and other rare gems) are nice and heavy. We had a game night and played 5 hours straight. Very addictive and very fun. Ive yet to win after about a dozen games. The goal of the game is to get victory points. To do this you have to collect gems for points. You may have to have 3 diamonds, 2 onyx and 1 emerald to buy a card that is only a ruby. From there you keep collecting the cards so that you can buy a more valuable gem. Very innovative. We have been playing dominion every week for our game night but this one is taking over. Setup and play is more fast than Dominion. Genius. I highly recommend it and it is cheap!

> 3 dayWe borrowed this game from a sibling to try it out and have since bought our own copy as well as bought it as a gift for a couple people. Its fairly easy to learn, very re-playable, and can be played as a two person game. The set up is super fast. Its about the size of a lunchbox, so not super small, but not terribly big either. I highly recommend this for any board gamers.

Greater than one weekThis was a new game a friend had introduced. We found it easily on Amazon and it was in our hands within two days.

Greater than one weekMaybe I came late to the board game party, but my family has embraced game night! We like to play a board game at least once a week. We picked up splendor on a friends recommendation and it is one of our favorites. It is pretty simple to learn, fast paced or leisurely as you desire, requires some strategy and some luck, and provides hours of repeat play. The game is well packaged, unpacks and stores easily, and doesnt require a lot of space. For you hard core gamers, I found a gaming mat I printed out and laminated that helps lay out the game, but you dont have to have this at all!

> 3 dayWhats not to love about Splendor? I play it with my daughter (age ten) all the time. I think this game is probably good for seven and up (need to have basic counting skills), and Id describe the game as easy to learn, difficult to master. The rules are simple: on your turn you can pick up chips, purchase a card, or reserve a card for a special wildcard chip (you then purchase the card out of your hand later). The cards themselves become a resource, so as you purchase cards, you build up a pool of resources that allows you to buy better cards that grant victory points. First person to fifteen victory points wins the game. Theres a few corner case rules (I wont cover in detail), but by and large, thats how simple the rules are. I love the concept, the strategy, and the execution of the game. The chips are full-weight poker chips and have a great tactile feel, and the art is very good. I think you could easily play this game for years. Another nice perk: taken out of the box, the game is super portable (everything easily fits into a sandwich bag). Ive kept a set in the car to play when we go on road trips, camping, or even family vacations (on the plane, for example, its wonderful) One final thing Ill add: I dont think the expansion adds any value to the game at all. This game is perfect as-is, and I think the expansion doesnt contribute any meaningful mechanics or depth to the game at all. If youre bored or its cheap, go for it, but I think the game is perfect just as it is. Kudos to the designer.

> 3 dayI regretted clicking the purchase button once I found all of the negative reviews regarding the quality deterioration of this game, but I decided to take a chance anyway. I opened the box with baited breath to find that my components look... great! The chips feel hefty, the gem stickers are all present and have a lovely iridescence to them, and the cards feel nice and slick. I dont know if I happened to luck out and get an older game from before they reduced the quality, or if the company has gone back to using nicer components, but I am glad I took the chance! Three clues to look for if you decide to chance it as well: (1) my box says Space Cowboys on the bottom side, not on the front cover like the product image shows. (2) Inside, there is a promotional pamphlet that says Space Cowboys 2017, and (3) the rulebook says it was produced in France. I hope others have success in getting a good quality version as well!

> 3 daySplendor and Duel both little redundant to have but dual has a little more complex mechanica to it splendor is quick setup and little more strategical. Both fun in own right. Duel has tiny cards hard to decipher green and blue gems, splendor does not have that issue. Duel is easy to carry on travel smaller setup. Would not recommend using it in a setup that is shaky in motion. Splendor needs table to play. Duel is 2 player only. Splendor is 2 or more and you can download automa to play solo.

> 3 dayThis game is the best board game on the market. Easy to learn. Early and late game strategies. Short to medium game time. Great replay value. Highly recommend for those who are just beginning to casually enjoy games, those trying to round out their collection, and everyone in between. Cannot speak highly enough of Splendor.

> 3 dayMy family is very into board and card games, and we play many heavy games like Terraforming Mars, Scythe, Gaia Project etc. This is a super fun and challenging game, that is fast to learn and fast to play. A refreshing change from the games we usually play. We are able to teach new players how to play in a few minutes and they get the hang of it quickly.
