This is probably one of the best valued mouses I have ever used. Of course the $200 Logitech mouse or whatever is gonna feel better and probably perform better, but who wants to spend that kind of money? For $50, you cant go wrong with this mouse. When I first got it I had been dealing with problems with other mice, such as the scroll wheel not working or the mouse entirely just disconnecting mid-use. When I got this I was astounded by the build quality and feel of the mouse. Its basic. It feels nice. Its not overly-complicated. You get the mouse, with some other cool features, and its plug-and-play. You can download the SteelSeries engine from their website to customize the mouse even more, which is what I did. You can adjust the RGB lighting on the base of the mouse as well as behind the scroll wheel. You can change the DPI settings, so you can have a normal setting and you can have a ridiculous setting at 12000 DPI to spazz out in games and go wild. This mouse is fully customizable, and you can even assign different keypresses with the extra side buttons on the mouse. Overall, during my 1.5~ years of owning this mouse have been great. I havent had a problem since I opened the box and its seamless getting my actions from my mouse to the game. If your budget is like $50, look no further than to get this masterpiece. #notsponsored

The rival 310 is a great mouse. Ive had it for about 3 months now and its has been amazing. The sensor is great, shape is great, weight is balanced. The materials used are great, there is no rattle, but the scroll wheel can be improved. The left-click button is a little looser than the right, but its not noticeable when using the mouse. All around its almost perfect. The only thing the makes this a four star rather than five is the grips. The grips themselves are fine, they do pick up on a little bit of gunk but they still functional well. Recently though, the adhesive has started to wear off, from standard use. Its not anything that serious, nothing a little bit of super glue wont fix. I just wish SteelSeries didnt skimp out on a decent adhesive. Hopefully they use a better adhesive if we ever get an updated version.

The mouse is solid for the price. Im right handed, and wouldnt of purchased the mouse had I known it was ambidextrous. There are side buttons on the right that are annoying and easy to accidently hit with normal use.

Its my favorite mouse, but they break so easily, I bought this on Jan 2022 and the right click is broken on Dec 2022 Thats 11 months.... not even a year this time

The mouse is awesome and perfect for gaming, but what Im really happy with is SteelSeries amazing customer service. After about a month the mouse started having issues connecting my laptop. It was acting like a worn out charger cable and sometimes I would have to jiggle the mouse cord to get it to connect. So I contacted customer support and within an hour had a response. It was crazy what they had me do, I had to literally destroy the mouse and send them pictures of it broken apart (I guess they have problems with fraudulent warranty claims so thats why they do this). Once they got the pictures they gave me a code to order a new mouse directly from their site and I had a new mouse in 2 days. So yeah, very happy with my purchase and I will continue to buy products from SteelSeries because I know they stand behind their products and take care of their customers.

Side grip is starting to fall off about about 1.5 years of use. This mouse performs completely fine, but the grip needs to be glued on better.

The mouse is great overall. It feels solid enough (not the same as the Logitech offerings though) and the sensor is great at tracking. The mouse sits low and with my hand size of 20.5x11 my fingers do drag on my mousepad at times. A word of warning the width of the back of the mouse is quite good for my hands but the front portion tapers quite a bit to around 55mm. I found this a bit to narrow for my taste but I can still aim and track well with it. I am still on the fence if it is comfy or not so I will keep it and use it for now and compare it with its bigger brother the rival 600 which has a totally different shape (also on the fence if comfy or not) but better width for me at 62mm. The clicks are something that I must congratulate Steelseries I would say they are nearly as good as the top end Logitech offerings and significantly better IMO than the hairtrigger like switches on Razer (really hate how sensitive and mushy the clicks feel on Razer). Overall I am happy with the mouse and would probably keep it in my arsenal to use for some work and gaming.

gonna get straight to the point here for context i play mostly fps games so my review is written specifically with fps games in mind pros: the shape is fantastic for claw and palm grippers very comfortable, build quality is good for me no double clicking issues,side buttons are very good especially for games that utilize them frequently very easy to reach and have satisfying enough clicks,the sensor is obviously very good along with pretty much all mice in this price point,rgb is nice enough if your into it theirs software you can download for some cool effects and dpi adjustment etc,scroll wheel is pretty average no complaints here. cons: the cable could definitely be better no connection issues but after using the model o or any braided cable this just feels lack luster definitely gets in the way once in a while even with a mouse bungee, weight not a con for all but for me its just a tad heavy i would recommend something a bit lighter if you havent tried a mouse under 70g you have to try one definitely helped me improve my flicks and speed, that is pretty much all the cons for me overall its a good mouse would like to see better mouse feet theyre not bad but would be nice to get some pure PTFE mouse feet glide is fine just not amazing. conclusion: great mouse for fps games if you want a mouse with a good shape and not too heavy although its not my absolute favorite it serves its purpose very well. definitely try a glorious model o or model d if you want something lighter tho GG.

I got this mouse to replace a budget gaming mouse (Chinese brand) that I had been using for about a year. It was not a bad mouse, but I felt like treating myself to something nicer. This hit the sweet spot. Its got a great sensor, a very satisfying matte finish, very tactile buttons that rarely fire unintentionally, a nicely balanced scroll wheel, comfortable silicon side grips, and vivid RGB accents. The one con is the Steel Series Engine software for the mouse. Its not very intuitive and pretty buggy. Almost every time I have tried to change the colors Ive had to relaunch the software after it failed to register my changes. The good news is that once you get your preferred DPI, macros, and color patterns set, you should be good to go. It even saves your settings onboard, so if you close the software or switch computers the mouse will keep your DPI and color profiles set. However, in my experience, you do need to open the software for some macros. Ive set my mouse to control volume with the side triggers, which works with the software off. However, I also remapped the DPI button to open a program, which does not register with the software off. Not a huge deal, but worth noting if youre switching computers a lot or hate extra software. Ive seen several reviews that view the light, plastic construction of the mouse as a con. I want to emphasize that this is NOT a con. The mouse does feel quite light and hollow - intentionally so. Its great for general use, but its designed for e-sports and especially for first person shooters, where lighter is usually better. In this case, the weight of a mouse should not directly correspond with the dollar value of the mouse. There are plenty of cheap, heavy mice. Unlike a keyboard with an aluminum or steel back plate, there is no real benefit to a heavier, fortified mouse for gaming. Yes, the mouse is light and plastic - but this shouldnt be an issue if you dont throw it around and drop it. Even a metal mouse will break if you drop it more than a few times. Finally, Ive seen complaints that the glue has begun to leak from the side grips. This does seem to be a real phenomenon that occurs with some of these mice. However, I have used this mouse for 5-10 hours a day for work and gaming over the last two months and have not had this issue. Perhaps this is more of an issue for people with more acidic perspiration, which could also contribute to the deterioration of the matte finish some have noted. For me, this has not been an issue. I will update my review if either of these things begin to occur. Final verdict: I got this mouse on sale for $35! For that price, its unrivaled (get it?). At the MSRP of $59 its more of a toss-up. There are a lot of good offerings in that price range. However, if you want a relatively light gaming mouse with a great sensor and you dont want to pay for some of the really expensive niche options out there, this is a great option. I can highly recommend it.

Im a big FPS gamer with big hands so basically every mouse I hold feels terrible. But not this one. The awkward hump on the bottom right actually cups into my hand and gives your pinkie something to grasp onto so it doesnt drag. This also allows you to use your pinkie finger to move the mouse and make crisp micro-adjustments when you are aiming in any shooter. Ive Had this mouse for over 4 years and just bought the same exact one to replace the old one.
