> 3 dayThis review is aimed at PC Gamers. If you are a casual PC user then most of this will not apply to you. Too many people wrongfully think mouse reviews made by someone with a different size hand and/or grip style will translate into a mouse that will work for them as well. The fact is it usually does not work that way unless you have detailed info on the reviewers grip style and hand size just for starters! Then if your hand size and grip style dont match the reviewers then you might as well go play roulette because your odds of winning it big are about the same. So with that said I have large hands though that is due to my palm size and not my finger length. I use a combination of a claw and fingertip grip. My thumb, ring finger , pinky and my palm area just above my wrist ALL MUST rest on the mousing surface. Because my thumb always rests on the table/mouse-pad that also dictates the thumb buttons placement reference where my thumb sits on the mouse. It also means that mice with a thumb rest (ie. proteus core) are out as well. I have enough hours spent playing games and in general computing that I can say definitively that if a mouse does not accommodate those characteristics then I WILL not use it, period. So with that out of the way the SteelSeries Rival 310 checks all of my boxes! It does not mean it will work for you! However if you have several similarities to my style of grip them it just might! As for build quality etc, well I have about 18 months of use out of mine at the moment which equals almost any mouse I have used in the past before something breaking. People complain about the rubber coating breaking down around the thumb button area where your thumb rests. Yes that does happen and unless they have improved it in the last 18 months it WILL happen to you as well. Because the mouse works so well for me I have decided to live with it, your mileage may vary! My final thoughts on this mouse is that I like it enough I have purchased (on sale of course) 3 of them for backups! Why buy backups you might say? Well nothing lasts forever and companies do not always continue to make products because you personally like them. Also companies have a tendency to make improvements to their products which may or may not actually work for you. I have had both things happen several times so that is my reason for backups. For those of you that actually read all of this and may write your own review in the future regarding mice please do the following. At the minimum explain your grip style and hand size. To those of us who play PC games A LOT that means so much more than ohh those led lights look so cool in the dark garbage.

> 3 dayI bought the Sensei 310 for 39.99. At first, I was skeptical as I have used MANY gaming mice over the years from many manufacturers but never had I been able to purchase one so inexpensively. But I have been very happily surprised at how well this mouse both functions and feels. So much so that I am now considering the SteelSeries keyboard and headset, but onto the review. It is a true ambidextrous mouse with thumb buttons on both sides and textured rubber grip below them. Whether your grip is flat or claw this mouse has a good hand feel and remains comfortbale even after hours of gameplay. It is a lightweight mouse and wrist or arm aiming will not fatigue you. The mouse is made of high-quality materials, it doesnt feel cheap in your hand. The mouse buttons and scroll wheel both have a good tactile feel. Download the latest SteelSeries Engine and you have a low impact utility to fine tune the details and lighting. There are 2 available DPI settings that can be swapped from the small button below the mouse wheel. It is conveniently placed to be easy to swap but not in the way where you might hit it on accident.

> 3 dayI love this mouse. The shape is very ergonomically friendly and comfortable. The RGB works well and can even be saved on the mouse. This means you can uninstall the software after finding your optimal settings and it will still retain them. This is a rarity these days. I was using a logitech g502 but I tired of the shape and weight of it. It was too heavy and the left click additional buttons were quite easy to press accidentally. I decided to go back to a mouse with only the two side buttons and I made a good choice on the mouse. Now, lets talk about the sensor. This sensor makes it feel like you are in direct control of the movement. It truly is as close to 1:1 as you can get. The logitech sensor is very good but it has nothing on this one. If you are using a 100+ hz monitor, it is very apparent how accurate this mouse truly is. I cant comment on the durability. I have only owned the mouse roughly a month but I feel that it is built very solid and will last for years to come. I highly recommend this mouse for gaming and even productivity use.

> 3 dayWhen I got this mouse, I was questioning whether or not it was a good decision. However, all fears were allayed when I actually used the thing. On a SteelSeries mousepad, it is very smooth and accurate. The customization software was easy to work with and straightforward. The scroll wheel moves in firm increments, good for cycling through weapons. :) The dpi settings are above and beyond what I need, but theyre pretty impressive anyway. The finger buttons are wonderful. The side buttons are helpful especially when gaming. The grips on the side are very comfortable and show no signs of falling off. I would say this mouse is groovy. Hope potential buyers read this.

> 3 dayWas very happy to find this mouse. When I started working from home, needed ambidextrous mouse that could hold up to high level gaming. Needed the ambi mouse because I do work / productivity tasks using the mouse left handed and then game right handed to spread the wear and tear on my hands out, so was very happy to find this option. Like the feel, size, button click feel etc, so very happy with my choice. . Taking 1 star back because the thumb buttons are too far forward. The back button is perfectly aligned with my thumb, but I have to reach / shift my hand to hit the front one with obviously takes time, disrupts the flow of gaming as I have to move my hand a little to hit the front thumb button and then move it back.

Greater than one weekI love steelseeries. Have bought their products almost exclusively for 13 years. Thats why 4 stars and not 1, because I know they are better than this overall, and that the mouse is good overall, except for one faulty part. I play League. That game clicks a lot. This mouse switches (or springs?) wear out *very* quickly. Like, I used it for 1 or two games a day for 2 weeks. Eventually ends up double-clicking randomly or not recognizing clicks at all. Guys, I bought three of these mice, just to make sure it wasnt a fluke. Then I found on reddit that this is a known problem that happens with every single unit. Now I know this is their value or economical mouse. But that still doesnt make it ok to wear out doing exactly what its supposed to do. I LOVE the form factor, I LOVE the weight, the button placements, everything is perfect except the clicks. Until they issue a fix, Ive switched to a Razer Deathadder, which I dont like nearly as much, but I know it wont wear out.

> 3 dayInitial impressions: GREAT mouse! I use it daily for work and gaming. When searching for a mouse I have several criteria: -It must be ambidextrous (Im left-handed). -It must have several programable buttons on the sides. -It cant have the gamer aesthetic. -It must be less than $100. This mouse met all of those criteria in spades. I really appreciate the simplicity of the design, and its very comfortable to use. Its half as much as my budget allows. And best of all? Its AMBIDEXTROUS. Do you know how hard it is for left-handed people to find a good gaming mouse with actual buttons on the side? Nearly impossible, 90% of the market is catered to right-handers - understandably so! There are literally dozens of us. This was a VERY good mouse for a couple of years. Three years on however and there are two issues I have: -First, the slightly rubberized coating is wearing off on the buttons. Fortunately its not really sticky, but its still kinda gross and I do wish it was a simple plastic coating. It can feel gross after a little while (of course it doesnt help that my hands can get a little sweaty). -Second, over the past couple of weeks Ive noticed the scroll wheel going bad. The physical action isnt bad, but the actual scrolling isnt registering properly. If I scroll down at any speed the mouse translates that to a very jittery up-and-down motion, I have to scroll several times to get where Im going. I suppose in the grand scheme of things a $50 mouse being used daily for three years isnt so bad. And Im not sure how long a mouse is expected to last either. I dont know these mice are sold today, but if they are and you need one with the criteria I listed, I think this one is a good buy. Just be aware that it may only last a few years.

Greater than one weekWhat I love about the Sensei 310 is the shape that fits perfectly in my hand/grip and the silicone grips on the sides make it very comfortable to hold/grip and use for longer periods of time. The matte plastic texture for the body doesnt feel cheap at all and isnt slippery, which is what you would want for a good mouse. I dont know much about all the different sensors in mice, but it is advertised as having a very high-end (optical) sensor and it does feel very precise in games and the software (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) I use, so I definitely notice the quality! The mouse wheel is a little bit too stiff to press for my taste because I use it a lot in my games. Because of the way I hold my mouse the front side button is hard to reach and I basically have to move my whole hand to reach it. Kind of disappointing. (see last image) Pros: - Optical sensor - Great shape - Silicone grips on both sides - Doesnt feel cheap - Great durability - Very customizable lighting settings Cons: - Front side button kind of far away

> 3 dayTL;DR : If youre on the fence, look no further, but this mouse. You will no be disappointed. I bought this mouse in a pinch after my Logitech G203 had failed. I was expecting less than I got, and expectations were more than exceeded with good-for-large-hands ergonomics. A little wide but thats okay. The plastics are solid, however the rubber grips do get a little sweaty for long term play. Slides around like air even for being on the heavy side compared to many pro and boutique mice that are out there at nearly triple the cost, or more. I LOVE the SteelSeries software for controlling RGB and mouse DPI. Its straight forward and comes with more advanced controls than many competitors. Considering Logitechs lackluster software as of the second half of 2019, I may be considering SteelSeries as my next keyboard canidate.
