Too expensive. Go buy Canson multimedia for 1/2 the price and same quality. Last years art teacher requested Canson and the art book is prefect, great quality pages, hard cover, good perforations, and great price. This years teacher requested Strathmore. I figured I would buy it despite the price difference because I thought it must be better for a more advanced class, turns out its a rip-off.

I purchased this for my daughter for her art class as the teacher suggested. She really loves it and cant stop drawing in it.

Im an extreme beginner watercolorist. My worst fear is ruining a very expensive piece of watercolor paper with a terrible painting. Ive found that this binder of 140 lb cold press watercolor paper has given me enough paper so I feel I can experiment without fear of ruining one piece of watercolor paper. Also, since all my paintings are together in one place, I can easily see what worked and what didnt work. I found the same binder with smaller size paper, but I liked this size the best.

These books are tough! I have thrown all my favourite media at this paper - watercolour, (though its not my personal favourite for this particular medium), stamping, stencilling, embossing, gelli plate printing with acrylics, collage - and it takes it all without excessive buckling and without bleed-through. The ring binding allows each page to lay flat freely and also makes it simple to remove a page should you want to. Overall, an extremely versatile journal and one I think I will always have to hand in my stash. Fast delivery, too, thank you.
