Love this journal for watercolors with the Koi set!

Awesome art journal. The only media I used that it didnt like was alcohol inks though I still used them at times. It will just bleed through. In the photo I painted on water and dropped india ink. No bleed through on that method nor on watercolors or ink (if used in moderation).

The paper quality of this watercolor journal is really great— sturdy and water does not seep through to the next page.. In fact, I used all of the pages and have reordered. Unfortunately, my second order arrived with a torn and battered front cover (the lightweight one) but the quality of the paper and heavier covers are flat and intact, so I’m keeping it. I highly recommend this journal for watercolor artists.

I bought this for my college class and ended up falling in love with the book. It is very good for water color.

One of my favourite sketchbooks. The paper is sturdy and doesnt require being taped if you arent heavy with your washes. Minimal buckling and great texture, too! I keep the smallest size as a pocket doodle book, and some of the 9x12s for when I want to experiment with mixes and larger thumbnail paint sketches.

I really enjoy using this Strathmore paper when I am plein air painting. The nature of the surface of the paper enables a wonderful fluid loosness to your image. It is a forgiving surface and the paint can be moved around easily. It also enables the ample use of water which also promotes loosness.

I use these for writing (not painting or drawing). Great for keeping notes or jotting down little gratitudes. The paper is really high quality and thick :)
