> 3 dayBought this for a road trip for my 2.5 year old that was 2 weeks in to potty training just in case he has an accident. He did have a pee accident and the pad did protect the car seat from getting wet. Only dislike is that it doesnt stay in place too well in his carseat (Chicco Nexfit) when getting in and out of the car seat.

> 3 dayBought this for use with our second child and started using it right away in her infant carseat. From previous experience, having to remove a car seat or stroller cover for wash is not only cumbersome, but means you cant use the carseat or stroller until washing is done. Ive already had an opportunity to see this pad in action when my newborn had some heavy duty spit up in the carseat, and this saved us from a major wash, but some did leak through the hole where the buckle fit through, which is why I didnt give it 5 stars. I understand the need for the hole, but it is a bit wide. Otherwise great buy, and would definitely recommend.

> 3 dayI have two little ones. My youngest is still in [cloth] diapers and occasionally there is some leakage on road trips or long days when it is hot or warm out and weve had a lot to drink. This item superbly protected the car sear. If youve ever had to remove a car seat cover from the actual seat for washing every single time there was a food/beverage stain or potty accident (that absolutely stinks to high heaven once dry) then you know what a pain that is. Spend the coins and save yourself that fight, this slips on over the latch and comes right out for washing, meanwhile protecting the seat cover from nasty stains (should you want to sell or donate it later). I definitely recommend it

> 3 dayWent on a long 6 hour car trip with my potty training 3 year old and I was nervous about him having an accident in his car seat. About 2 hours into the trip he had a pee accident and I was so grateful I had put the piddle pad down, it did its job and absorbed all the pee, his seat remained dry! I have two piddle pads now and think they are a great investment, just tossed it in the washing machine to clean!

> 3 dayThis has been great to have for potty training accidents in the carseat. It is absorbant and leak proof so the carseat stays dry. However, the tab that comes up to protect the strap between the legs is too short to fully protect the strap from urine. I feel like making it longer and fully encircle the strap would be a huge improvement. Also, it is super easy to pop in the washing machine, but cannot be dried in the dryer, so I would suggest having 2 of them.

> 3 dayI use these in my toddlers’ carseats for two reasons: 1) For my potty training 3 yr old. He hasn’t had many accidents in his car seat, but I like having a buffer between him and the surface of the seat for easier cleaning. I don’t expect it to completely hold and contain all of the urine if he does have an accident, but simply to make it easier to clean him or have the ability for him to still sit in a relatively dry seat until we get home. 2) I also have one in my 1 yr olds seat, who hasn’t started potty training yet, but is a terribly messy eater. With this seat insert, I can simply pull it out, shake the crumbs off and keep going.

Greater than one weekI have 4 (almost 5) kids all under 6. I use this for long drives since some of my potty trained kids will still wet themselves when they fall asleep. Though Ive only had to use it ONCE for that purpose (and it was GREAT!!!) Ive also used it for when a child threw up in the car (got all over his clothes and dripped down to the seat, took it off and he had a clean seat to sit in!) another reason its a must have is all those sacks my kids eat on long drives, and bread crumbs from their sandwiches, such a pain to vacuum up on vacation! I just take this out and shake it off and they have a clean car seat!! I love this!!! I only have 2 and am buying 3 more for the other kids just for the crumb reason alone! HA!

> 3 dayi am convinced that products such as this one and the stupid shopping cart cover are designed specifically to separate sleep-deprived parents from their money. when you think about it rationally, you realize that your child wont like sitting in a pool of his own pee even if he doesnt vehemently object to this thing being inserted into his carseat. you will also likely realize that due to the peculiar way in which physics and gravity work, this thing cant possibly function in a way that captures all of the liquid released onto it, so now you have two things to clean instead of one. finally, you will recall that they make these things called diapers and even make them in the shape of pull-ups, and that if your child may have an issue on car rides, it is far easier to put one of those on him than it is to try to collect the fluid once it leaks out of him. all of these are perfectly good reasons never to buy this product. however, when you see this thing at 2am when your potty-training kid gets up for the 11th time because he thinks its fun to go pee-pee at night, even if oops, nothing came out <shrug> is the result, you see this thing as some sort of transcendent invention that you cannot live without... and the rest is history. so, benefit from my mistakes, rather than making your own. skip this one. and the shopping cart cover. dont get me started on the shopping cart cover!

> 3 dayIf you dont have one of these youre missing out. After my first daughter had a blow out in her pumpkin seat that requires us to take off all the fabric and put a blanket down for her to ride in it on the way home from a trip, I started researching solutions so I wouldnt have to take the car seat apart every time something like that happened. And here it is! We have two, one in my 2 year olds car seat in case she has an accident and one in the babys seat. My 2 year old has has pee accidents in the car and this has saved me more than once. Huge fan.

> 3 dayWe bought one for each car seat when my son started potty training. They have been amazing!! When he is wearing the training underwear that holds a little more liquid, this works perfectly and his car seat is completely dry. If he is in regular underwear, the car seat may be a little damp because its just too much liquid for this pad to hold. Totally worth it to save on tearing apart the car seat to wash it every time he has an accident. I love that you can just throw this right in the wash. Its soft and comfortable for my son to sit on too.
