This little invention has saved me many times during the potty training process. Removing a car seat cover is a major pain and this little seat guard has kept me from having to do that at least 3 times. It’s a little absorbent and provides a solid barrier against the car seat. It also has non skid material on the bottom so it doesn’t slide around in the seat. Plus, the seatbelt threads through the bottom of the cover, keeping it firmly in place. I recommend this to anyone potty training a child or facing lots of potty accidents. This saves everyone grief and I bought an extra, just in case.

This has been great to have for potty training accidents in the carseat. It is absorbant and leak proof so the carseat stays dry. However, the tab that comes up to protect the strap between the legs is too short to fully protect the strap from urine. I feel like making it longer and fully encircle the strap would be a huge improvement. Also, it is super easy to pop in the washing machine, but cannot be dried in the dryer, so I would suggest having 2 of them.

I own three of these but only have two kids because I never want to be without a clean one, and I buy them for baby shower gifts! They are a necessity for containing diaper explosions AND during potty training. Without them, you have to unthread your carseat straps, wash the car seat, and then rethread the straps (the first time I had to unthread, wash, and rethread my carseat, the unthreading and rethreading alone took 45 minutes because I didnt know what I was doing . . .). And then you cant go anywhere in your car while you are washing your car seat. It is especially nice for vacations when stopping your trip so that you can go sit in the laundromat for a few hours isnt very ideal since you obviously arent going to make your baby sit in a wet/dirty/stinky car seat for the rest of the day; with a piddle pad, you just remove the dirty one, clean up your child, and voila! You are ready to continue on your trip!

This a great item for potty training to keep from having to take out a car seat and completely clean it after every accident. I highly recommend this product. We used it when our child was an infant and continue to use it for potty training.

My middle child has been having problems with incontinence in the car so Ive been using a plastic bag and a towel in her seat until I saw this. We used it the other day and had her first accident. It did still leak in the back corner where the seat belt comes up. This is a good product I think if your child does not have major leakage. I will still use it, but go back to my plastic bag/towel solution since it has worked the best over the months. Might not be the most sightly, but it works.

If you dont have one of these youre missing out. After my first daughter had a blow out in her pumpkin seat that requires us to take off all the fabric and put a blanket down for her to ride in it on the way home from a trip, I started researching solutions so I wouldnt have to take the car seat apart every time something like that happened. And here it is! We have two, one in my 2 year olds car seat in case she has an accident and one in the babys seat. My 2 year old has has pee accidents in the car and this has saved me more than once. Huge fan.

This is a must-have for potty training kids. It absorbs well and protects the car seat from accidents. Its so much easier to wash this item than to take a car seat apart for cleaning.

I use these in my toddlers’ carseats for two reasons: 1) For my potty training 3 yr old. He hasn’t had many accidents in his car seat, but I like having a buffer between him and the surface of the seat for easier cleaning. I don’t expect it to completely hold and contain all of the urine if he does have an accident, but simply to make it easier to clean him or have the ability for him to still sit in a relatively dry seat until we get home. 2) I also have one in my 1 yr olds seat, who hasn’t started potty training yet, but is a terribly messy eater. With this seat insert, I can simply pull it out, shake the crumbs off and keep going.

My 2-year-old daughter has put this to the test three times now and it saved me every time! I just whip it off, throw it in the wash and its good to go by the next day. I took off one star because I really feel like the part at the front should be a little bigger and taller (the part that goes in between her legs/up the back of the buckle.) Thats the only place where some of the pee has managed to leak out. But still -- I only had to dab off the buckle piece, which was MUCH easier than having to strip the whole seat cover for cleaning. Awesome price here on Amazon too, compared with in stores.

I have 2 of these in my car. One in my daughters convertible car seat and one spare in case of an accident-- dont want her sitting one a wet liner nor do I want to take the chance of sitting her directly in her seat in case we have 2 accidents in 1 day. However, when I purchase this one recently I didnt realize it was exactly what I had. I needed one with a higher backing to help protect my sons infant car seat from blowouts. So I returned this one and ordered a different one to try. However this one is great for toddler leaks that dont go up the back! Lol.
