    Greater than one week

I own three of these but only have two kids because I never want to be without a clean one, and I buy them for baby shower gifts! They are a necessity for containing diaper explosions AND during potty training. Without them, you have to unthread your carseat straps, wash the car seat, and then rethread the straps (the first time I had to unthread, wash, and rethread my carseat, the unthreading and rethreading alone took 45 minutes because I didnt know what I was doing . . .). And then you cant go anywhere in your car while you are washing your car seat. It is especially nice for vacations when stopping your trip so that you can go sit in the laundromat for a few hours isnt very ideal since you obviously arent going to make your baby sit in a wet/dirty/stinky car seat for the rest of the day; with a piddle pad, you just remove the dirty one, clean up your child, and voila! You are ready to continue on your trip!

This a great item for potty training to keep from having to take out a car seat and completely clean it after every accident. I highly recommend this product. We used it when our child was an infant and continue to use it for potty training.

Okay so this is a puddle pad. For little oops I didnt quite make it to a potty quick enough. It does not work for oops mom forgot we were potty training and didnt take little miss to the potty before we left. It sure as heck helped me not having to steam clean my seat!

This little invention has saved me many times during the potty training process. Removing a car seat cover is a major pain and this little seat guard has kept me from having to do that at least 3 times. It’s a little absorbent and provides a solid barrier against the car seat. It also has non skid material on the bottom so it doesn’t slide around in the seat. Plus, the seatbelt threads through the bottom of the cover, keeping it firmly in place. I recommend this to anyone potty training a child or facing lots of potty accidents. This saves everyone grief and I bought an extra, just in case.

Love it, fits perfectly in our 3 year old daughters Chicco nwxtfit seat. I washed it when we received it because I read that will help it absorb any accidents she may have in the seat. So far she has stayed dry but we have only had it four days. It is soft and goes up the back and on the aides to protect everything. There is a place for the buckle and the side straps so I know she will still be safe if we are in an accident. I am going to buy another for the stroller seat! Worth the price and like it soooo much better than the Diono one we had before!

We havent had any accidents in the car seat yet, knock on wood, but its been there since the first time we road in the car without a diaper/pull up on and it very reassuring that if she has an accident I just have to wash that piece, not the whole carseat cover. It stays in place and I take it out and put it in the stroller easily too!

Got this for our mostly potty trained 2 year old. It tends to scoot back under him when he scoots back in his seat which is kind of a pain. We havent had a lot of leak expierence but of 2 accidents weve had one still got the car seat wet, not soaked, but significantly wet. That may also have been due to the scooting back issue as well. Also it is air dry which is kind of a bummer but they dont take too terribly long and it is certainly preferable to undoing the car seat cover and straps to wash and dry it. Overall its good but dont expect it to stop any heavy leaks and if you have an accident prone toddler I would probably get 2 to rotate because of dry time :)

This product almost deserves 5 stars - the only reason its getting a 4 is because I think it should be a little longer overall. We make many road trips to see family (being in the military) and go for long stretches of time without stopping, especially if the little one is sleeping. Well, regardless of whether our son is wearing a nighttime diaper or not, the sheer fact that he is sitting up in that position causes leaks. The piddle pad does a pretty good job at catching most of those leaks, however, sometimes the leak goes above the top of the pad onto the back of the carseat, or further in front by his legs, getting the bottom of the seat (which happens most often). We bought two of these so that if it happened along the journey, we could quickly change him, swap the pad out for another, and keep on going without having to rig the carseat so he didnt sit in pee - and then worse yet, having to dismantle the carseat and rewash the entire cover (a serious chore with the mammoth car seat I bought). I do like how it shapes to fit the car seat and the seat belts, by way of the open slits in the sides. I just wish it was a little longer overall. When I found out I was pregnant with #2, I again went online to purchase more piddle pads and I did look at other products too in comparison. But for the price, and taking into account the features of the other pads, this one still seemed like the better option, so we now we have four overall.

I wish we had bought these when we first installed the car seats. Our little one drinks a ton of water, and often the diaper doesnt last even short trips. The car seats we have require you to remove the carseat, and all the straps to take off the cleanable seat pad. This is quite a pain and requires too much time to do often. With this it takes 5 secs to install, and less to pull it off. Throw it in the wash and good to go. Comes with 2, and at a great price. We have a carseat in each car, so I am going to order another pack to have 2 in each car!

If you are a parent, you know how challenging it is to wash the car seat cover. Plus, many of them require line drying, which sometimes takes longer than the amount of time you have. This has saved me from all this trouble on numerous occassions. I had an older style piddle pad, which did not have the hole for a belt buckle. When I saw this version, I knew I had to have it even though my child was over a year old. The pad stays in place much better than my first. Yes, it still moves around if my child climbs in the carseat. But, I would rather deal with that any day over the alternative when there is a leak. Im amazed how many people have not even heard of this product. I would highly recommend this as a baby gift - its one of those items nobody thinks to buy, it doesnt hurt to have more than one if by some rare chance somebody thought to buy one (one for the carseat, another for the stroller), and it is used for several years. Its a big help for everything from newborn diaper blowouts to potty training!
