My son has been potty training for less than a week and this piddle pad has already come in handy on the fifth day! He had a pee accident and I didnt realize it until I took him out of the car. Normally he would be crying if he wet his underwear, but the pad did a good job absorbing it. Im happy it absorbed his pee or else he wouldve cried the whole ride and I wouldve had to pull over and change him. It saved me a detour and did not leak onto his car seat! My only complaint is the pad does not stay in place and I have to adjust it every time my son gets on it.

This is great! I did learn from previous reviewers that when unwashed, it does NOT absorb. I put a few drops of water on the material and it just sat, beaded on top. Easily remedied by washing twice, did the water bead test again and it absorbed immediately. This also is great at catching crumbs (yes, my son snacks in his car seat!) and it does more crumb catching than piddle catching at this point. Ha Ha I do have to reposition it every so often, its backside isnt really rubberized to grip and stay in place.

Another essential baby item that I didnt realize I needed. Somebody got me this for my baby shower. I didnt originally put it in the carseat. He had his first blow out and I had to take the entire car seat cover off and wash it and wait for it to dry. Now I have this in there and it makes clean up so easy. Absolutely love this. I now buy it for every new Mommy when I go to a shower.

We bought two of these for an upcoming roadtrip with a newly potty trained 2 year old. Luckily we didnt have to experience them in action. Prior to having them I was using burb cloths on her seat and those would still be fine. But I like that this is one piece and you dont have to adjust it every time she gets in the car. I could be a little longer, both ways but I think it fits its purpose and I would recommend it to a friend.

Bought this for a road trip for my 2.5 year old that was 2 weeks in to potty training just in case he has an accident. He did have a pee accident and the pad did protect the car seat from getting wet. Only dislike is that it doesnt stay in place too well in his carseat (Chicco Nexfit) when getting in and out of the car seat.

I use these in my toddlers’ carseats for two reasons: 1) For my potty training 3 yr old. He hasn’t had many accidents in his car seat, but I like having a buffer between him and the surface of the seat for easier cleaning. I don’t expect it to completely hold and contain all of the urine if he does have an accident, but simply to make it easier to clean him or have the ability for him to still sit in a relatively dry seat until we get home. 2) I also have one in my 1 yr olds seat, who hasn’t started potty training yet, but is a terribly messy eater. With this seat insert, I can simply pull it out, shake the crumbs off and keep going.

I Love that this has the hole and not just a cut out spot in the middle which helps keep this in place around the buckle plus the added padding at that spot which is nice to cushion the hard plastic buckle that can tend to be uncomfortable for little boys. These seat protectors are a must have when potty training especially if you dont want to have to take apart the seat to wash every time there is an accident which everyone knows is inevitable in the beginning of potty training. nice heavy material too. we are very happy with this product.

My daughter was a “power Pooper” from the age of about 2 months old and would have a complete blowout with 99% of her diapers, so at least one huge blowout a day for several months. Since her favorite place to poop was her car seat, we were stuck washing her entire car seat constantly, which was a nightmare. This liner saved us—when she had a blowout, we were able to remove and wash the liner instead of having to wash the entire car seat! It is thin enough that it doesn’t compromise safety, but totally waterproof and covers the entire Butt area—the bottom, sides and buckle area, so leaks rarely occur. I recommend this to all of my friends having babies now, and am going to get it back out in a few weeks when I start to potty train her!

Given the mixed reviews, I decided to test this before using. When I took this out of the package, I sprinkled a few drops of water on it... and sure enough they beaded up and rolled right off. This didnt surprise me - I always wash towels at least once before using or they dont absorb anything. So, I washed this according to the instructions and it seemed significantly more absorbent after washing. It has not been tested by a toddler pee incident yet... but I bet it will perform better having been washed. The overall design is great and it fits my two very different car seats equally well. I will circle back once the true test has been passed (or failed).... UPDATE: I washed this a second time because of squashed Cheerios and sundry other sticky spots, and then we finally had a full-on pee accident. This worked GREAT! It held all the liquid with literally about 2 drops making it onto the car seat cover. We stopped pretty much right away and changed clothes, etc. - I was impressed by how much this absorbed. I will not leave home without it!!

This a great item for potty training to keep from having to take out a car seat and completely clean it after every accident. I highly recommend this product. We used it when our child was an infant and continue to use it for potty training.
