> 24 hourGood bright flashlight, not a fan of the two sages of brightness and also how you have to get to the two stages. Other than that, easy 4 stars for price and what you get.

> 24 hourJust got this little guy yesterday and am completely happy with it. it is going on my AR15 once I get my new rail in, and judging by the output of the 320 lumens, this thing is *blinding*. If you are on the fence about it just go for it. Totally worth the $50 bucks.

> 24 hourlGreat light for the money. I have these on my rifles. The light holds steady through recoil and doesnt flicker like others. Update: I order the Butler Creek size 3 lens caps for this. A few wraps of electric rape and its a perfect fit. Not coming off. No light leaks out. Keeps carbon off lens. If this light is for a rifle, get the cap.

> 24 hourIm a diehard Surefire fan, but I hate the prices... If you are LEO/MIL, you can register for their discount through their web page. It sure makes their stuff more affordable! That said, the Amazon price for this updated G2X is well below even the LEO/MIL discount from Surefire. And its LED, so it (theoretically) should last longer between battery changes! I own three of the older G2 models, two of which have deployed with me, one of them twice. I never had one issue with either light (though I also have a Surefire battery caddy w/ spare lense and six batteries). While I was not a door kicker, I was outside the wire a lot, both in convoy operations and in aircraft. I used these flashlights A LOT over the course of each deployment. Not a single mechanical failure, even in the insane heat during the summers. These three now reside on my AR15s as weapon lights and this new G2X is on my belt. Have I said how much I love these G2 flashlights?? Buy one. Or two. You wont be disappointed (except maybe in battery life, but bright light sucks battery juice...) Oh, and get a caddy and a spare bezel or two...

> 24 hourI love this flashlight. Good balance. It fits in the hand very comfortably. Uses 2 CR123 Li Ion batteries. This kind of batteries have good shelf life. The chance of leaking is much lower than regular alkaline batteries. They have more power than AA batteries. I bought a few of them to put around the house and in cars. The dual output is very handy. I have never tested the durability by dropping or throwing it across the room intensionally. I also want a few flashlights for emergency use that whenever I pick them up, they will work. But SureFire has this reputation that they want to maintain and I choose to trust it. When the time comes I will see.

> 24 hourGreat flashlight. Bright, easily adjusted, works just great, fits in pocket smoothly. Only dig on it is you can not easily palm in one hand for flashlight room clearance drills, due to the shape and lack of a two-finger rubber grip such as earlier models had. Could be weapon mounted. Very nice.

> 24 hourWas looking for a flashlight that only had high and low beam. This one is perfect for me at night taking my dog outside.

> 24 hourThis is my first surefire and the only reason i bought it was because of lower price point. Before i couldnt really understand why someone would pay upwards of $120 for a flash light, Needless to say ill be buy more surefire products in the near future all because of this little wonder. the light its self is very compact and attractive, bright on high, and very very useful on low. seems to be taking a beating thus far.

> 24 hourI now have three and at $50 each that may sound like a bit of money for flashlights. An LED Mag light will cost over $30 and many of those multi-bulb led flashlights will cost $20 and up. And this light is so much brighter than any of the former. In the low output level it still lights up a dark room and so far, almost 3 months since I purchased the first one, I have not had to change batteries. Im sure I will be buying a couple more of these as the few remaining cheapie LEDs die off.
