19-04-2025Good all around light. It being surefire it is pretty much indestructible, my only complaint is surefire used to make good lights with long run times now all they have are high output with low battery life. This has like is says 2 hrs on high and it’s pretty accurate so be aware of that.

> 3 dayGreat flashlight. Ive had it for sometime now. Honestly its over priced BUT it holds up well which matters most. I even have mounted it on a .35 caliber air rifle and it hasnt failed at all. Very bright clean light. Worth what it costs? Well the only reason Id buy again is because junk Chinese lights are bright many way brighter but Ive bought dozens and few last long. This seems to be much better quality and I like the size. I sure dont let the children use it.. otherwise it may be in the black hole of missing stuff.

Greater than one weekOnly high output not high low. I purchased same light this year with high low settings which I prefer over high only for longer battery life. Dont know why this is high only, still surefire so keeping it because package gets destroyed while opening. The package is gone so if youre buying dual out put check package before opening it.

> 3 dayAnother outstanding product by Surefire. It has the poly body and is just as comfortable and easy to use as its all metal 6XPro Dual Output light twin. We use both lights for a lot of things in our rural setting. Would not be without it, and a big comfort during a recent 5 hour power outage.

> 3 dayYou know the LED headlights on cars that blind you? This is the hand held equivalent. This really puts out a beam. While my use is probably not PC for you, it is mounted on a rifle to handle a coyote problem on my place where night time raids are common. They definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel, and it is an oncoming train.

> 3 daySince this light is so well reviewed and detailed online and in other reviews I will focus on the questions I had prior to purchase but couldnt find answers and some of my experiences with the light that I didnt see elsewhere. 1. Is 15 Lumens too low for regular use considering high is 360? - No, 15 lumens is great for average use. I have no issues with the low level being too low for my needs. 2. Battery life an issue considering the high lumens? – I used the light on a week-long camping trip and primarily used the low setting but frequently used high for very short periods. The batteries are still solid. I bought a back-up set of batteries just in case, but haven’t needed them yet. Some of the things I noticed about the light that I haven’t seen elsewhere: The tail cap switch/button is not as positive as I would expect from Surefire. This was especially true when I was just using the push and hold for momentary light. I played with the spring under the cap a bit and it really improved the issue but it’s still not ideal. Often I end up with the high beam when I dont want it which can blind me when being used close up. The nitrolon body feels like aluminum. I was expecting a rubbery feel based on the description but the body is actually very hard and looks very much like the aluminum head. A nice surprise and alleviates any concerns I had about its future durability. My light has a very small piece of plastic or rubber sticking out of the gap between the head and body. I assume this is some sort of gasket that was displaced when the head was attached to the body. It’s barely noticeable and doesn’t seem to affect performance but clearly is not supposed to be that way and is probably a manufacturing defect. The retail packaging is a real pain to open. I know it helps prevent theft at point of sale and protects the product but I had to work way to hard to get the light out of the packaging. I am really pleased with the light and don’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

> 3 dayMy husband and daughter have rod cone dystrophy so night time vision is extremely slim for them. We have purchased several of these G2X for having in purses and backpacks for easy to grab use for them. The flashlights are great, have held up wonderfully being thrown in all sorts of bags. Always ready when we need them, bright and helpful. I like them for at night when I hear noises way out at the barn, all other flashlights spread and disappear long before reaching the barn, these find the critter making the racket and help me run it off without leaving the deck.

Greater than one weekIn an ongoing search for the perfect flashlight, this is my latest favorite. Ive carried a SureFire E2D for years but this one is even brighter, has a better beam pattern for night hiking and costs about 1/3 the price of the E2D. Ive only had this light for a few weeks but based on my experience with other SureFire products I think it will last a long time. BTW: Blade-Tech makes a good Kydex belt holster designed for the G2 that also fits this light very well.

19-04-2025Lights are only 2 types, soft low and blinding bright, which is great. However, the clicking button is LOUD. Not a fan of that in a quiet house and a burglar finds out where Im at because he can hear me click before he gets blasted. Other than that, the light seems very durable. Ive not had it long enough, but the old metal Cree tactical lights Ive had for about 6-7 yrs are still working, still tough and has a quiet button, as well as a strobe, which this SureFire does not have sadly.
