In an ongoing search for the perfect flashlight, this is my latest favorite. Ive carried a SureFire E2D for years but this one is even brighter, has a better beam pattern for night hiking and costs about 1/3 the price of the E2D. Ive only had this light for a few weeks but based on my experience with other SureFire products I think it will last a long time. BTW: Blade-Tech makes a good Kydex belt holster designed for the G2 that also fits this light very well.

I like this model more than the more expensive metal version. The polymer construction is tough. The dual brightness mode is essential, you dont always need max brightness, and the high-brightness eats batteries. It defaults to the dim mode when battery voltage is low.

Hands down the brightest flashlight I own. Great for mines, small caves, tunnels, and even just walking around a camp site. The lowest setting provides a sufficient amount of light. I do wish the flashlight could stand up to act as a lantern though, that would be convenient. The only drawback is the expensive unusual sized batteries (123A). It should be expected though that a high drain device such as this would require a high drain battery such as the 123A, the 18650...etc. Overall I highly recommend this flashlight and Ill most likely purchase another.

Built like a tank. The tube is actually metal with a polymer outer shell. Id liken it to a glock mag in that respect. The 15 lumen low setting seems as bright as the 35 lumen output of my stream light micro-stream thanks to the excellently focused beam. Havent had the light long enough to speak to its reliability, but its a Surefire, so it gets the benefit of the doubt.

After owning the SureFire G2X for several years, it continues to provide rock solid dependable performance. Although the continuing evolution of LED technology now offers us higher lumens in a comparable sized package, the G2X is still one of my go-to lights. Lightweight, bright enough, and seemingly indestructible, this light is highly recommended!

I love this flashlight. Good balance. It fits in the hand very comfortably. Uses 2 CR123 Li Ion batteries. This kind of batteries have good shelf life. The chance of leaking is much lower than regular alkaline batteries. They have more power than AA batteries. I bought a few of them to put around the house and in cars. The dual output is very handy. I have never tested the durability by dropping or throwing it across the room intensionally. I also want a few flashlights for emergency use that whenever I pick them up, they will work. But SureFire has this reputation that they want to maintain and I choose to trust it. When the time comes I will see.

Traditionally, I love SureFire flashlights. This arrived quickly and is exactly what I expected. I havent used it while hiking yet, but expect this review to stay at 5 stars when I do.

Never have I ever had a problem with Surfire lights. High quality materials, very good illumination, definitely a good light for the price. If you are not ready to spend $300+ on your weapon light, but you want something reliable, this is the light I strongly suggest. Good: - High quality - Very broad light, with fair distance - Great price/quality ratio - Two modes of operation Bad: - Not the best light to use with a pressure switch, because of two modes of operation - OEM pressure switch is fairly expensive so I had to look for an alternative

What a great, well constructed and light flashlight! I own and have placed many emergency flashlights all over tin he house, in the garage and in our vehicles. Those are all your typical Costco flashlights which come 3 in a pack at various sizes. However, this has become my EDC or rather ENC (Every Night Carry) when I walk the dog late in the eves. It is tough, light and compact (I have inadvertently dropped it a couple of times and no damage whatsoever so far, but lets not make a habit of this clumsiness) Some folks (myself included) may initially find the claimed lumen light settings a bit on the low side but it really shows its prowess in the dark of the night. The high setting is just fantastic offering a wide radius for such a little flashlight, although it will consume through the batteries very quickly if always used at that setting. When Amazon dropped the price to sub $50 I ordered another one for a shotgun although the two click is not really ideal for a weapon. Let me add that I purchased the first one for about $60 on Amazon. They do also have a one setting tactical option which is perhaps a better fit for a shotgun but I havent tried that one yet. Minor gripe which is not a deal breaker, I just wish that it had a lanyard hole but nothing is ever perfect. SureFire does offer a pouch for this at an extra $10 or so, or you can just make one or order a generic one.

I love this flashlight. I wanted a high quality flashlight and when I found this on sale I had to buy it. The dual output is great. The lower output 15 lumen is a good option for when you dont need as much light. But you also have the full 320 lumens for spotlighting, longer distance illumination, etc. You can do momentary on/off or fully click the button for constant on. You cant beat the price, quality, and output of this light as well as the reputation of Surefire. This light is awesome and may find itself on the end of my AR once it is built.
