TetherGuard Camera Support - 3 Pack

Works as advertised!

I bought this product for securing a usb cable to a camera for tethered shooting. the $20 price is certainly hefty for this little plastic clip, but its only $20 so not my real issue with the piece. I gave this product two stars because now that I have it and put it to use I have quickly realized that it doesnt do what I thought it would, which is to keep the USB cable securely connected to the port on the camera. If you look at the photo where the clip is shown on the camera body youll be able to see that there is plenty of slack on the USB cable and how long the jerkstopper itself is (guessing about 5 inches), so its not really securing the cable to the camera at the port but merely securing the cable and the camera together together several inches down the cable. If I were to trip over the USB cable with enough force to jerk it out of the camera it might pull the cable out of the port but it would still be attached to the camera by the string end, thus the danger of the camera being brought down actually seems greater with this piece than without it. The only real advantage I can see to this product is that, should the USB cable fall out of the camera port, either by slight force or just wiggle out, the jerkstopper will keep the end of the cable right there at the camera as opposed to falling to the ground where youll have to chase it around before plugging it back in. All that said, I really want it to work so Ill probably try a few ways to rig it up myself a little better, Ill update if anything works...

This cable support works well but a little expensive. Pros: o Works well, prevents the cable from being pulled out of the camera and possibly damaging the USB port. o Constructed well. Cons: o Expensive, $8-$10 is a reasonable price. o Attaches to the camera using a string loop. I dont always use my camera tethered and I dont want this thing hanging off the camera all the time.. It would be nice to have it attach using a clasp instead.

great invention, works great, tether tools is a great organization to work with. I plan to use this company again.

I had been rigging my tethering until I bought this and then thought, duh! why had I been rigging it? Sometimes the smallest, well made product makes your shooting much easier. Good money spent.

excellent product very good quality

Works as advertised, however Im not convinced it is worth the cost to upgrade the rubber band and mini biner I had been using. Tie band around cable, biner to connect to eyelet.

Very impressive piece of gear,a must for studio photographer.
