Greater than one weekI bought this food grade mineral oil for use on my new cutting board. I should have taken a before and after picture so you could see the difference after using this mineral oil. It brought out the deep, dark color of the wood and dried nicely, not leaving an oily surface. I wiped the surface before cutting food on it, but it probably wasnt necessary. After slicing raw beef, green peppers and onions on the board, I used a slightly soapy sponge to wipe it off under running warm water. I immediately dried the board and gave it the smell test. There was no onion smell, nor any other smell for that matter. I bought this oil because of the high ratings from other people.

> 3 dayThe Chef’s Tip for an easy and clean way to oil a cutting board in a large trash bag, pour oil onto board and use bag to rub oil in. Let sit for a day and it will be ready to use. This process is great, clean and easy like it says! Huge difference in appearance! See the picture above. Lighter board has not been oiled yet. Larger board looks so much healthier. I love this product!

19-11-2024The mineral oil arrived on time, well packaged and the bottle was completely sealed and did not leak inside the packaging in transit. There is no scent and it’s easy to apply. I’ve only applied the oil to wooded spatulas and I’m waiting to see the outcome.

> 3 dayThe oil was delivered earlier than expected and securely packaged. As for the performance of the oil it was used on a completely raw board, the good thing about using it was that it worked better than expected. That board and its twin are both now serving duty in my kitchen and the boards that were purchased to be used as ready to use with no treatment needed, but needed oiling, are now in the custody of the retirement home that needed new boards due to their other some how being run through their dishwasher and were unfit for use. I kept the new boards because they fit better in my kitchen.

Greater than one weekYou need this oil to keep your cutting boards in good shape throughout their many years of service. Food-grade mineral oil is the best oil to condition cutting boards, in my opinion. Other edible oils will become rancid, and regular weight drugstore mineral oil is usually too thick to absorb well. Great seller. Package arrived quickly and intact.

> 3 dayI purchased this mineral oil to treat my butcher block countertops, and it works very well. My entire kitchen has wood countertops and I use the oil frequently to treat the wood and help it to resist water and minor stains. It is odorless, colorless, and easy to apply.

> 3 dayI’ve applied two applications of this mineral oil to a pair of hardwood cutting boards, multiple Chicago Cutlery walnut knife handles and one brand new, “out of the box”, bamboo cutting block. In short, I am very pleased with the results. The cutting boards and knife handles were thoroughly wiped down and allowed to absorb/dry overnight. The following day, I wiped all surfaces down with a paper towels and allowed the boards and knife handles to “rest” for a few hours before repeating the process one more time. While the first application made a big improvement, the second application really did the trick. The cutting boards and knife handles look, and feel, great and the wood itself looks “nourished”/ rejuvenated. The results with the new bamboo knife block were, while positive, much less dramatic. The knife block absorbed much less of the oil and some of it appeared to sit on the surface. Seeing this, I wiped off the excess and didn’t give the block a second treatment. I’ll try again in a week or so .... All in all, I am pleased with the quality of this mineral oil and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to a friend or family member. It does the job well.

> 3 dayI have never used any cutting board oil before. I loved this was scent free and went on easily. I coated an older cutting board and a new cutting board. I put on three coats each. I cant believe how the old one looks brand new again. It is holding up well as I wash the board several times a day. It does not take much to cover the board and so the bottle will last a long time. I am glad I was able to protect my new board before I started using it. Again, it looks richer.
