These units are absolutely amazing and work great as a mesh network, unlike some of the pros leaving reviews here saying these dont link together as a mesh network, you are wrong. This is in fact what they are designed to do. If your not downloading the software controller to program these, then dont bother buying them. Use Omada software or get hardware controller to set these up

Excellent WAP for single family home or small business. PoE meant I could ceiling mount it on my hallway, and pull Cat5e straight to it through my attic crawl space. Im using a cheapo 8-port 1Gbe PoE switch to power this and two IP PTZ cameras without issue. Love it!

I recently upgraded my home WiFi network with the TP-Link EAP660 HD and have been blown away by the improved speed and coverage. The WiFi 6 technology provides faster speeds and greater capacity than my previous router, and the range extender function allows me to reach areas of my home that previously had weak signals. The setup process was straightforward and the Omada app made it easy to configure and customize my network settings. The app also allows me to remotely monitor and manage my network, which is convenient when Im away from home. The design of the TP-Link EAP660 HD is sleek and modern, and the LED indicator lights provide a helpful visual guide for diagnosing any issues with the router. The EAP660 HD also features advanced security features, including WPA3 encryption and a guest network, which gives me peace of mind when it comes to protecting my personal data. In terms of performance, Ive noticed a significant improvement in both download and upload speeds, especially when multiple devices are connected to the network at once. The signal strength is also impressive, with minimal signal dropouts or interruptions. Overall, I highly recommend the TP-Link EAP660 HD for anyone looking for a high-performance, secure, and easy-to-use WiFi 6 router. Its been a game-changer for my home network!

I very rarely write reviews, but here is one so folks dont tear their hair out wasting an entire evening like I just did. Just tested the new EAP660HD. I can say that its very nice hardware, the multigig 2.5Gb/s ethernet works, the standalone web configuration is nice... But the performance is terrible. I spent all night trying to figure out why suddenly my network shares dropped to 10MB/s or 60Mbit/sec - consistently. I thought it was because of Big Sur, I thought it was because of my Samba shares, but it was not. Its simply the Quality of Service QoS in this WAP that is just terrible. I dont own any other tp-link EAP WAPs so I dont know if its normal or not, probably not, but this is a new device that just came out, so its possible theres a bug that is already known and they are working on it with new firmware. I did try to find new firmware but did not succeed. I tried messing with the QoS settings, reading the manual, but I couldnt make it work. Im returning it because I just cant wait for TP to fix this. My 5 YEAR OLD ROUTER does better. Details: Downloading from the internet via speedtest.net -> 210Mbit/sec - expected, capped by my internet provider. Samba share from a SSD raid6 drive -> 50-60Mbit/sec NFS share from same drive -> 50-60Mbit/sec Downloading via HTTP from same drive -> 50-60Mbit/sec Using old router (Asus) -> 250Mbit/sec !! 5x faster

I was having a lot of connectivity issues especially with Linux and IOT devices (thermostat, google chromecast, Fire TV sticks etc.) since last couple of months. I have a bunch of these which I control uaing the OC200 controller. A couple were running 2.2x and one was running 5.0.0. Turns out these firmwere versions had a known bug which got fixed in 5.0.3. I upgraded to that and all connectivity issues are gone. So, if youre having strange connectivity issues I suggest upgrading to the latest firmware version.

I have two of these APs and they are amazing with Omada mesh. I pick up my full speed through both of them and and the speeds are still fast at lower signals. I would recommend this to people who are tech savy.

I really like TP link devices..I have this with the EPA 245 and the 200 cloud controller at my townhouse...Over kill for me but i like to learn and be complex...I also have these connected to a Tp link 28 poe managed switch...Now everything can be configured through the tp link cloud with the controller...This Epa 660 seems fast..I need to mount these and then i will update...Threw them up on the wall to test and once i dropped the tx power down from my Asus router for both bands the epa 245 and epa 600 came to life...My network is rock solid...I think by dropping the power to the router and using the cloud controller the access points are working the way they should...My Amcrest Wifi cameras are so fast to show up on the app now...Power house..I also have a 28 port tp link poe managed switch linked to the cloud controller to...I should of just bought the tp link business router for 60 bucks cause with these i dont need wifi comming off my router anymore....After a couple of days i noticed that the epa 660 is dropping clients...I my computer is 10 feet away and it will connect to the epa245 upstairs in the office...Weird...I am not to sure now about this unit...I dont have it mounted yet cause i am moving it around to see what is the best location. The epa 245 is performing like a champ but the 660 not so good all of a sudden...I will continue playing with the settings and update furtherJust bought another Epa 660 for my Firewalla router soon to come...I am ditching the Asus router and going to go back to the Omada setup...

This device bricked in first firmware update. Piece of junk. Stick with unifi if you want something similar. Amazon was good about replacing it but it isn’t worth the hassle and crappy support.

Works fantastic, solved all prior problems with other unit from other supplier. Older unit and out of date, new unit with six antennas is superior.
