> 3 dayWorks great on both N and AC networks. Wasnt hard to configure. I did have a little challenge getting the unit to mount to the mounting plate when it was tight to the wall - its more difficult than on the older model. Overall, I have been very happy with these units.

> 3 dayOnce you get their controller software installed, it has a lot of nice management capabilities, and ubiquiti hardware is top notch, however their management software leaves a ton to be desired, namely that they require and ancient version of Oracle Java (8), which means among other things, you basically cant run it on a modern Mac because youd have to downgrade the Java on it, which would be difficult and probably break a number of other things. I had to install the controller on a windoze virtual machine that didnt already have java installed to get the AP up and running. If ubiquiti is going to require a specific environment to run in, they should provide as an independent setup that doesnt conflict with the rest of the system.

> 3 dayI bought this too try because I am tired of the consumer grade junk at the big box store. So far I give it thumbs up. It covers a much greater range, it was easy to configure (I used their android app). The poe option allowed me to put it in an ideal place without nearby power. Now if it just keeps working this well I can forget that I spend years rebooting my network every week.

> 3 dayThe warranty on the Unifi access points is only one year. The UAP went into a boot loop I tried TFTP on both LInux and Windows but it did not restore it to a usable state. This product did not last two years. Given the problems Ive had with this product will not purchase again.

> 3 dayI bought 2 of these access points in October 2018. One is still working, the other quit before the 1 year anniversary. At this point I am not sure what recourse I have . I probably waited too long to report this problem, but I most certainly will not purchase from this manufacturer again.

> 3 dayI was using a modest Cisco e2000 wireless router before upgrading to the Ubiquiti. Bottom line is my wireless speeds increased from 30Mbs to 88Mbs and will be even faster when I get a needed new cable modem. I can now stream video to my tablet in my backyard which was impossible with the weaker Cisco. FYI- the Ubiquity requires a router and until I get a dedicated router for it, I am using the e2000 as a router after disabling the wifi portion of the Cisco unit. (after googling how to do this, I simply went into the router config files and found the wireless off setting, disabled it, and the Ubiquity took over the wireless beaming.) A high quality product.for a great price!
