> 3 dayThis was exactly what I needed. A dedicated access point separate from the all in one router that I use makes all the difference in signal strength and reception. It took a few minutes to set up using the controller software, but it wasnt difficult. I never used WPS functions of wireless setups anyways so the setup of this device was of no consequence for the astounding increase in both distance and reliability that comes hand in hand with this access point. I definitely recommend this item for anyone that wants better wifi reception for all their devices.

> 3 dayLove these access points. Had hoped the LR might have better luck than a normal AP getting through brick, but no such luck, Still a fantastic enterprise-level device. We use these at work too. If you use more than one, I recommend getting a wifi analyzer like MetaGeeks InSSIDer and see what your device signal strength is at the point where your AP signals overlap. Use a lower signal strength (larger number) to set as the RSSI (Return Signal Strength Indicator) on the AP Radio options in the controller software to help your devices switch to the closer AP when moving between them. This will help prevent your device from hanging on to a more distant AP resulting in lower connection speeds.

Greater than one weekI was originally going to get an expensive $300-500 WIFI mesh system for my 3500 square ft home but ended up buying this unit after seeing the glowing reviews and being that I am in the IT field as well. Setup was a piece of cake especially downloading the android app to set it up. I know I can do a lot more tweaking of the settings with the proper app installed on a PC or Mac but I am more than happy with the way I can set it up with the android app. I am impressed with the quality of the unit, the little things they thought of, the POE injector, and the insane range of this beast. I have strong or very strong signal with both my 2.4 & 5GHz broadcasts with speeds up to 433Mbs on 5Ghz almost everywhere in my house. I turned off my routers wifi broadcast as well as my old repeaters. My 8 WIFI cameras, 3 smart TVs, 5 tablets and 3 phones never drop out anymore and have blazing fast internet speed. I ended up mounted it to the ceiling on the top floor of my 2 story house, right in the middle of the floor plan. I ran a normal cat5e ethernet cable from the AP to the POE injector and a cat5e from the POE injector to my router/switch. The app found the unit immediately, and after changing a few settings I was able to optimize the speed and range of the WIFI. Its been a few days now and I have yet to have any issues with latency or with devices dropping off the network and everyone has strong signal everywhere in the house and in the backyard. Definitely recommend to anyone with a larger sized home.

> 3 dayFirst used this as a standalone unit, but later meshed a second unit to give access to a neighbor wirelessly. Range and speed was incredible as a standalone unit, but when using mesh, where you are using a wireless uplink to another unit, you do lose speed. Supplied POE injector worked fine, but did eventually get a POE switch. Configuration with the controller software was easy, set it and forget it.

> 3 dayWould give it 5 stars but you have to purchase the security gateway to enable port forwarding.
