> 3 dayUpdate: device is now failing to find uplink. Tested Ethernet on known working device and its fine there. The AP would slowly degrade service other a day over the last couple weeks. Now its a dud. Had some trouble setting it up. Setup via ios app didnt work at all - kept saying invalid password. When scanning QR code ssid and password are presented in a modal that you cant copy from. Being required to manage unit from a hard wired client through their controller app is a real pain.

> 3 dayGreat AP. I use this downstairs and works awesome. The reason why i would not give this 5 stars is because the AP has issues with the wireless printer i have connected to it. It takes up to 10 minutes to print on the AP if its been sitting there. If i disconnect the printer and AP and have it reconnect itll print faster, but the amount of time it takes to print is a pain. IF they can fix that issues i would give it 5 STARS.

> 3 dayI was concerned with all the chat about how difficult these were to get running, and how difficult the controller (software) was. Im reasonably good at home networks, but certainly not a professional. I had to install Java (in MS Int Explorer) in order to install the controller software, which one must download. After the download I tried to run the controller in Explorer, but a message said it preferred Chrome or Firefox. Chrome worked great. Setup was fairly easy and required no calls to support. There is good documentation on-line. There is a lot of flexibility with the controller software, and you can just keep adding APs. Plug in the Cat5/AC to each additional AP and it is automatically recognized within about a minute. Thats it. Passing the WiFi signal from one AP to the second is seamless. They all are part of the same Wi-Fi network - no need for each repeater to have its own name. These APs are hard-wired to your router. They require a CAT-5/6 and AC connection. But the R A N G E is great! I get whole house coverage - 2400 feet on each of two floors plus a wide area outside the house using two APs upstairs. These Ubiquiti units replace Amped repeaters. They had trouble holding a connection to the router when the 70% signal light was on. I was rebooting them (unplug-wait-plug in) every day or two. Repeaters (aka extenders) get a WiFi signal from the router and rebroadcast it. The Ubiquiti are hard-wired to the router. Thats a HUGE difference.

> 3 dayTheres nothing to dislike. I had a question and got it answered in a couple of hours via email. One thing to note. The setup is not done via web based interface onboard the unit. One needs to download the software (controller) and all configuration is done via a browser interface to the controller. It has a default ip address but just plug it into your router and DHCP will assign your subnet automatically.

> 3 dayI mounted this on the second floor ceiling of a near 3000 sq ft house. EXCELLENT signal throughout the entire house, including the basement, garage and driveway. I was going to order two, glad I did not! One is perfect! (I have 100 MIPS Comcast and pull 100-110 MIPS through this AP)

> 3 dayThese Ubiquiti APs work amazing. Ive tested a bunch of similarly priced APs and they work great. I replaced Cisco WAP371 with these and no more drops. iPhones and iPads work great now. The range is amazing. The speed is comparable to the 371. Ive got 2 of these to completely cover my home with minimum of 3 bars throughout the home. I can go outside to the mailbox and still have signal.
