Ive used Ubiquity before with good success, but was stymied when I received this unit. After much aggravation, I tracked down the problems I was having getting the various components to be adopted (Ubiquity terminology). I sshd into the cloud key and found that when booting with the original firmware (Nov. 2019) it would not configure a network... which of course meant it would not either communicate with the other devices or update its own firmware. I found the most recent version of the firmware available for this unit, scpd the firmware blob onto the cloud key from my Mac and then ran the manual command to update the firmware from a local file. Success! After that, everything has worked fine. So, be aware that you may get downrev firmware on your cloud key from this vendor; its easy enough to update if youre comfortable with low level system administration tools.

Ubiquiti is a great manufacturer of networking products. I use them personally and professionally. If you are interested in great quality goods at reasonable prices you need to look into Ubiquiti.

Have setup to remotely management Unifi Network that includes APs, switches and a USG. Serves as a dedicated local controller host (its a mini computer) that also give you remote management with a chrome browser and a great iOS app. Its all about the Unifi Controller so it doesnt work with Ubuiqity Routers like the ER Lite.

If you have multiple Ubiquiti devices, you need to have a Cloud Key. It make managing and remote access so much easier. It was easy to setup as well. At first I only had one AP Pro and had a hard time managing it from different work stations but the n I added a second AP Pro. Thought was going to be a nightmare trying to manage two so I bought the key and it was a breeze.

I have purchased 6 cloud keys from this vendor and one of them would not setup. I should of known something was up when it did not come in its cloud key box but I figured I hadnt had any issues with the other keys it would be ok. Had to wait till I could make it down to one of our locations to install so it slipped passed the 30 days to return. Upon trying to set it up it would not allow me to configure it. I will not buy from this vendor ever again as they knew it was not working when they sent it out.

If you have a Ubiquiti Unifi or multiple, get this. This becomes your Ubiquiti manger and removes the buggy software solution. This also can keep the firmware on the Unifis up to date automajically if you select that option. This also allows for custom landing pages. It is worth every penny.

Works great allows me to access my aps in the house from anywhere and to fix problems if I can while not at home.

Easy install and easy to use. Every time I do a new install these make it so much faster Durning the setup. I do move everything off of this once I am done, but having it right at you side without taking up a laptop is great.
