> 3 dayIve used Unifi devices in the past with a computer-based controller, but this was my first experience with the Cloud Key. Installation was quick and easy. I connected it directly to a Ubiquity Unifi POE switch and was up and running quickly. Ive been using it for more than three months supporting about 150 users at a time. Ive managed the network both locally and from a remote location without any issues. When the recent WPA2 vulnerability was announced, Ubiquity had updates available immediately. I am extremely impressed by Ubiquitis price and quality. Ive been using many of their products for years (some in outdoor locations) without any problems. My Cloud Key is managing a local network with 8 unifi access points spread over a large multi-building property. We use Ubiquity Nanostation and Nanobeam devices to bridge connectivity to various buildings. I wish that the Cloud Key could manage the bridge devices, but I went into this knowing that they would be managed separately.

> 3 dayThis is a must buy for anyone with a Ubiquiti access point. Setup was very easy and quick. I love using a phone app to manage my network. Only negative is the one I received was in a crushed box and the tape was cut as if it was returned. Removed one star for this reason.

> 3 dayWas actually using a Windows VMWare Guest for Controller function but purchased this and things are so much better. Now I can get my stats and take care of my Ubnt equipment. This thing is a must have. I recommend you upgrade it first to the newest version you deploy. This makes everything less complicated in my opinion!

> 3 dayThis is a great product but a little finicky. I bought it from Hovercraft Lab and they were over the top helpful with the product. Out of the blue they sent me a very informative email about the product. I was very surprised to get the email. No company has ever done that in my experience! They explained all the pitfalls one can encounter with the product so it was very nice to have someone explain and guide me thru a successful implementation. So far I have rolled out two of these and I plan to make this a default whenever I install Unifi APs. Again my sincerest thanks to Hovercraft Labs!!

> 3 dayThis is a Gen 1 Cloud Key, without battery backup which comes with Gen 2 (Important to note). Also note that this review is critical of Ubiquiti, the manufacturer, not the Amazon vendor. Easy install, easy config, but if you lose power or fail to note that you must power it down using the subtle button on the side prior to removal, you hose the config. This requires a reset and recovery of backup config. Cannot afford the time and risk of power failure, or unintentional power off. Not worth the pain. This product should be discontinued by Ubiquiti. Bought Cloud Key Gen 2 and am immensely satisfied.

> 3 dayWorked good, but the setup was a little ambiguous. The devices need to be set up on this to begin with, NOT locally then transfer them over.

> 3 dayMy husband installed these over 6 months so this review comes from a time tested set of units. All I have to say is WOW! Wfi has never been better. The units arrived on time, were packaged well and work better than expected.

> 3 dayTook a while to get the device to be discovered. Upgrading the firmware on the device made the whole network stop working so I had to hard reset all my devices and start over. Support for these products is really minimal so its really for somebody who loves maintaining a network.
